Do you like the guys doing Orlando Summer League PbP?
I really don't like these guys. They talk about anything besides basketball. The camera sucks and they don't even tell us who scores or who has the ball. Donte is okay, but George Galante sucks.

I love these guys. They're hilarious. They do talk about whats going on in the game. Usually if someone scores they tell you who. They just don't do play by play. Which I think is a good thing. It's the summer league. Only about 10% of the players that are playing are actually gonna play in the league. Why do you care who passes the ball to who?

Thank you. It's really not watchable without the comic relief.
And the camera angle? That has nothing to do with those guys. The camera angle with the lack of graphics and zoom ins should show you how serious you should be taking these games.

well considering they arent required to air these games, you get what you get, you should be thanking Dante and Galante for heading up Orlando's media department and taking the time to broadcast...I mean, seriously...a play by play in the summer league?

The nasally voiced guy is annoying. Besides him I've enjoyed the coverage.

I remember listening to them last year and I thought "haha these guys are pretty funny!" but listening to them this year just makes my ears bleed.

They used to read emails from viewers during the game, and one time I emailed them and said they ought to come out and wave to the camera at the end, and they called me gay for wanting to know what they looked like.
It still stings.

I laughed when they read one e-mail that said they should give Aaron Gray [iirc] some props because he was going to be better than their Dwight Howard soon. This was the first I heard them get serious and got all offended over a sarcastic joke.

They were alright during the Bulls vs. Heat because they were talking about both basketball and other topics. They sucked during the other games though.

Re: Do you like the guys doing Orlando Summer League PbP?
hell no. They are so unfunny and annoying.
i'd prefer a voice over guy just telling me who it was that just put the ball in the hoop.
I watch summer league to see how the new guys are going and with the crap jerseys and horrible camera work you can hardly see the numbers/ players, so it would be good to know who has the ball.

Yeah I agree. I was dogged by some peeps in the Orlando Magic board for criticizing the way they commentate. I agree with the guy who said, it was alright at first, but it makes your ear bleed after a while. They seem to nag off and get worse later round of games. When it's Bulls game they were better because maybe they know espn's watching.. They have their own agenda, instead of spotlighting attention on the players. And it was hard to see who had the ball and who scored, didn't help when dante galente was reading every email and what they ate for lunch.

I mean come on i was trying to see how Brooks was doing and he was only mentioned twice in the entire broadcast like his first game. Yeah he may have not had the best of stats , but they don't even do pbp when a top 10 prospect plays, except for Rose and Beasley.
I learned more about this scrub they keep on mentioning named Gorbachev (somewhere along the lines) than some other first round picks

Vladimir Golubovic?
They can't even pronounced his name right.
Nick Anderson should be up there full time to balance those two out.

just turn it on mute. Yeah, sometimes it would be nice to have real information, but then again it´s not too hard to recognize the players imo. If you are serious about it you should put enough work into it to check the jersey numbers online and go from there.
