If Ed thinks about doing this, I just hope this is approached more as a business decision rather than an emotional one.

As a Nuggets fan, you can have him. I love the guy, I love his heart, but he's not working here. Most fans in Denver feel the same.

I highly doubt he'd go for peanuts though. He was looking to resign for about 5yr 60mil with us this summer.

I also hear that the return to Philly last season really took a toll on him, and to not be surprised if he's in a 6ers uni after next season.

I only wish we were able to get Dre back...

Also, congrats on the Brand signing. Obviously I don't need to tell you guys how big that is for your near future.

No. I think we all saw what happened when we tried to build a team around him. We were close, but no cigar.

PHILLY REFOCUS.It's time to try to build a team around a perrenial all star power forward then a 6 foot point guard

For peanuts? I might do it. I doubt a hometown discount would be for the MLE though. It's really time to move on.

I would love to see him back in a Sixers uni, he's gotta be my fav. player. But he's going to want to much I would imagine, unless he really really wants to come back and understands our situation.

No thanks...love the heart, but the mind doesn't permit the body to play a winning game...MLE plus only 15 FGA/game may sell me, but he's not going to change at this point.

No way do I want Iverson here. However, you do have to wonder how much different his time here in Philly would have been had Stefanski been building the roster around him and not BK. AI must be really feeling it right about now with this Brand signing. Regardless, I'm with the other here who say they love his heart but don't want him back.

If AI would com e back for the MLE and play like a team player and only take about 15 shots a game I would love to have him back.

I dont know if anyone else has noticed but AI has become a better shooter and has been taking about 8 less shots a game. Hes taken about 22 shots a game in his time in Denver while making 45-46% of his 2 pts and 35% of his 3 pts.

Whether Iverson accepts peanuts to play is irrelevant; it's his ball-dominating, poor shot-selecting, defenseless play that has him in a situation from which some of you perceive he needs 'rescuing'.

Why pay the immense talents of Brand so much money merely to have the man chasing down offensive rebounds and getting in foul trouble trying to guard two opponents (his and Iverson's)? Your team looks great on paper as it stands exactly because you shed yourselves of Iverson.

SF76 can you ask your buddy a what if question. Like what if AI said he wanted to come back here for the MLE, would we do it?

I wouldn't mind Iverson back here next year, but we have to remember: It's either Miller or Iverson. Who do you guys believe is the better fit here with our situation now? I do not believe Iverson will start at SG if he ever comes back here. He will play PG because Iguodala and Thad basically have the 2 and 3 locked up for a while. Would Iverson run this team better than Miller would? Can he be that 15 shot PG that Miller was last season and rack up 8-9 assists? I mean he solves a big problem needed from the PG position (shooting) and I still believe he's a nice fit next to Iguodala. 19 shots in Denver this past season. If he can get down to about 15 shots per game, he would be a nice fit here. Plus, no matter what people say, Philly is the place Iverson's heart is and the place he belongs. But would we be going in a circle replacing him with Miller? However, this is tempting:

Iverson/Williams
Igoudala/Shooter
Young
Brand/Evans
Dalembert/Speights

But then again, that could be Iverson/Webber all over again. That's my only concern about Brand BTW. Just the little similarites between him and Webber. PFs picked #1 overall in their class with injury concerns entering their early 30s. But yea, I am still 50/50 on if I would want Iverson back here. Miller's team concept makes this team churn, but Iverson's skillset help this team out a lot also. He brings that certain "it" to this team that is lacking that no one else on this roster has. I just have bad memories of Iverson/Webber and that's one of the big reasons why I wouldn't want him back.

Please, if we could get him for the MLE or less, he would be here immediately, with him, we would be instant contenders(obviously) We would then have a shooter and two dynamite scorers. Not to mention an amazing bench with Thad, Speights, etc.

Besides, it's sort of a Brett Favre thing, if he indeed said he wanted to come back we would probably try our best to get him back (Well I guess it really isn't much of a Brett Favre thing anymore now that the Packers are shutting him out lol, but you get the point, loyalty and such)
