Travis Diener or Jarret Jack?

Jack complements Ford and Diener more.

Well lets look at the numbers from last year

PG 1

Mins/game- 27.2
Points/gm- 9.9
fg %- 43.1
3 pt%- 34.2%
ft %- 86.7
RPG- 2.9
APG- 3.18
TO/Gm- 2.17

PG 2

Mins/game- 20.5
Points/gm- 6.9
fg%- 37.0
3 pt%- 31.8
ft%- 90.1
RPG- 1.7
APG- 3.8
TO/Gm- .83

Also, PG 1 is a MUCH better defender. So in summary PG 2 takes better care of the ball while PG 1 shoots the ball better, rebounds the ball better and is the better defender. PG 1= Jack, PG 2= Diener. Jack should clearly be the backup IMO.

Diener's a nice player, but Jack is and should be a lot better.

In general Jack is cleary better, but in specifics games Diener can be more important.
But the important is that one complements the other and vice-versa.

Diener's going to be an energy guy. Jack is going to be a stopper.

I didn't realize Jack had such an alarming assist-to-turnover ratio. Still, he's clearly a better scorer, shooter, and a much better defender than Jack.

I think many of you are overrating Jack's defensive abilities. Jack had been known as a good defender coming into the league and many of us Blazer fans were convinced that he had promise of becoming a defensive PG early in his tenure with Portland, but unfortunately he never really improved his defense much. That said, I think Jack could be a good offensive player in the right system. He had his difficulties in Portland last season, but could very well prove to be a very serviceable backup for the Pacers.

As long as he keeps the turnovers down, I am fine with him.

Some defense is better than none. After living with Tinsley and Diener, Jack will be an upgrade.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.
