Who do you think we should draft?
Looking at one fo the mock drafts they have us getting Leon Hall a CB from Michingan at the 7 spot.
I simply dont like that move. Our run defense last year was one of the top in the league and overall defense simply wasnt bad either.
Our offense however needs something more.....Troy never filled Randys show albeit they were VERY big shoes to fill.
How about someone like Ted Ginn? Brady Quinn may also drop around that area so we can pick him up as well.

The best engine in the world is the vagina -- started with one finger, self-lubricating, takes any size piston and changes it's own oil every month. Pitty it's so temperamental

we'd have to give up WAY too much to get CJ. We're better off waiting to see who will fall to us. The way I see it, if CJ, Quinn, Thomas, Peterson, G.Adams, Landry are still there we select them in that order. If by some chance all six of those players are gone, we trade down to 15-20 range and draft someone like Patrick Willis, Robert Meacham, or Reggie nelson.
There are many ways this draft could go for Minnesota, i just hope they dont blow it. We dont really need a D-Lineman unless his name is Gaines Adams. We need playmakers, so if Adrian Peterson is there we'd better take him... even with Chester having such a great season it'd be nice to have that kind of 1-2 punch in the back field.

CJ fill Randy's shoes. That's funny. We have abetter chance of getting Randy than CJ but our wimp coach doesn't want a distraction. Makes me miss Denny and I hate him.
I'd like to see Quinn at the spot we are at because I don't think Jackson is the answer. The Vikes need to stop drafting for need and start drafting speed. A lock-down corner or a really fast safety would be nice.
I'd like to see the Vikes draft Leonard Peters from Hawaii in the third or fourth round. He hits like a brick $&!^house and is fast as blazes. He should be obtainable in the later rounds because he played all of last year with broken ribs and still made All-Conference. Guy is a stud.

Of all the sentences you used to follow up that first one.

The only way we would be able to draft CJ would be the type of trade that the Saints did to draft Ricky Williams, basically our 1st, 2-2nds (07'-08'), and 3rd. WE have so many holes to fill, that would literally kill us. Our 2nd and 3rd round picks this year will have the chance to come in and contribute right away.
Trust me guys i want CJ just as much as the next guy, but i also know what it will take to obtain him and it's not gonna be easy. Every GM is drooling over this kid, for good reason. The fact of the matter is, even if we were able to draft Calvin it'd be tough for him to get open... we dont have another threat so he'd see double and triple teams all day.
Minnesotas front office needs to do something... they could trade up and take CJ, Quinn, or Joe Thomas (who would solidify our right side) or stay put and draft Landry, i'm not too high on Leon Hall but he'd come in and contribute right away so i wouldnt be too upset for drafting him. Fact of the matter is, we have a great chance to add a player the will be able to step in right away, or we could do what we did with Troy Williamson and reach at #7 and regret it ever since.

Here's a question - Assuming Russell, Thomas, Peterson, Adams, Landry, and Johnson are picked 1-6 in no particular order, who do we pick with the 7th pick? No trades.
Amobi Okoye gets my vote. The "Sharper isn't getting any younger" argument for drafting Landry goes for Okoye and Pat Williams, too.
Hopefully Okoye or Quinn will go in the top 6 so either Landry or Peterson drop to us, like in most of the mocks.
How would people feel if Adams was the one to drop to us?

I'm not sure if I would like us drafting him. I would rather draft Okoye, even after this little incident.

I think whatever we'd give up for CJ would be worth it. He would give us a franchise WR for years. The only other real holes we have are in the pass defense, and we can grab a nickel back and/or a pass rusher later in the draft or in FA. I'd rather AP fell to us and we then went WR in round 2, but I don't know how likely that is.
There's no WR other than CJ worth #7, and there's plenty that would provide good value in round 2. After that we can focus on getting a nickel back and a situational pass rusher (assuming we end up with AP at #7).
I like the idea of trading down with Miami if Quinn's there, we would probably at least get another 2nd rounder out of that. Another guy we don't need but that I wouldn't mind us drafting (if we trade down) is Patrick Willis. If we trade down the guys I'd be interested in would be him, Hall and Jamaal Anderson.
What are people's thoughts on Michael Bush in the 3rd round if he's there?

"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Michael bush, if he can stay healthy, could be nuts.
I dont think we should draft a RB unless we get Ap. Simply becaue MeMo and Fason are just as good as those guys. Also, we have a serious need for depth on the Oline, we need 1 or 2 ready to go WR's and these spots are bigger needs than a RB prospect.
