rondo...future PITA

Post#1 » by docwasoverated » Fri Jul 11, 2008 3:28 am

wow..rondo was playing at a different speed than the lakers/pistons in the playoffs seems like a future trend is speed at the point. witness parker, paul, the pacers trade for ford, the sonics taking westbrook with the fourth pick, etc.rondo is the matchup i fear the most from the celtics.shortterm is a cheap defender with mega speed available? and longterm what are our options in aquiring a weapon at the point?

We already have a future weapon at point in Louis Williams. If you want speed, Williams has the quickness and agility to deliver. Let his decision making mature and we'll have a terrific future point guard with speed.

PITA? What is that? Am I missing some acronym conference here?

Lolz...

I really think we need a guy like Rondo, but I don't think Westbrook will be that guy for OKC.

I am hoping to get Lawson in next year's draft. He may go higher once UNC makes another title run. He is so good though. Lots of people down him and say he's too small and he needs to get his head outta his arse, etc. But the kid can play ball. No doubt. He can score amongst bigs. He can dish the ball WELL. He can drive on just about anyone. He has amazing body and ball control skills. He can shoot when needed from NBA 3pt range. He can hit FT's like layups. And he can RUN RUN RUN all day long. AND I think he'd beat AI in a foot race, which is impressive. AI was the definition of speed and quickness in the NBA for years. I think Lawson may just have him beat. I read that Lawson does the sprints in practice WHILE dribbling and STILL wins by a big margin. And for a team like Carolina, that is impressive.

Rondo still has to play more consistant. Without him we don't win this year. If he went to Minnie for KG instead of Sebastian Ihavealoveafairwith guns, we don't win.
