Yo' 'New School' NBA Fav' 5 In Next 2 to 5?

Post#1 » by MilBucksBackOnTop06 » Fri Jul 11, 2008 1:20 pm

Lets look at the next 5 years or so...

Every 15 years or so the NBA has a 'changing of the Guard' sort of speak with its style, it's marketing focus, and of course its stars, teams and even with it's fan base, which leads to a new or odd views of who is good and who is not.

So with that, let me explain what I am asking from you wise NBA RealGM visionaries and prophets whose skill it is to judge and know talent and have the foresight to assemble the best team possible in order to play to win...

* In the next 2-5 years of 'Young Gunz' NBA budding Superstar players with 5 or less experience as of today, who will be your top five players at the 5 different positions (PG, SG, SF,PF,C,)

Don't get bogged down on position either. Some guys are combo forwards and comb guards and can play multiple positions (eg, Wade, LeBron, Roy, etc)

Give me a full 12 man squad and lets compare. Technically, you can include this years crop of 2008 Rookies as well if you like and believe the hype, since what I am asking is the best within 3 years.

Now remember what I asked...in 3 years from now when LeBron and Wade are free agents, of all the players in the NBA today with 5 or less years of experience (eg. TJ Ford) who is your 2 teams of Fav' 5 with 2 Util.

Here is mine: I will put them up against the All NBA team in 2 years.
First Team:

PG Chris Paul: Simply the best Player in the league under 5 years exp. MVP Kobe be damned!
SG Brandon Roy: Complete player. Protypical NBA SG next 10 years...
SF LeBron James: Who else? Enough said. But he will be a Brooklyn Net soon...
PF Dwight Howard: Get him a PG/Center and he is MVP next year, and NBA Champ in 2-3.
C Greg Oden: No player will have as much impact on team and league then this kid. MVP in 2...

Util Dwyane Wade: No room and too many injuries to put ahead of Roy who I love as a Baller...
Util Andrew Bogut: Will become a complete Center in the East.

PG Deron Williams: A simple PG stud. The NOW Jason Kidd...
SG Andre Iguodala: Brand will make him a Super Duper Star the nex few years like Oden & Roy.
SF Rudy Gay: Conley will make Mayo and Gay. Wow! Grizzlies will be a team to see in two years!
PF LaMarcus Aldridge: A young beast rising to the top of PF's in the West. Oden will help him!
C Andrew Bynum: He was a monster when he was healthy. If he matures he will be dominate.

Honorable Mention:

PG Mike Conley: Ok add Derrick Rose here if you want. Too much pressure for him in Chi-town.
SG Eric Gordon: Ok add OJ Mayo here if you want in 2 years as your's....not mine.
SF Michael Beasley: This nut will be good when he grows up...
PF Yi Jianlian: My Bucks may live to regret moving him. He might be a Big time player soon...
C Brooke Lopez: I want to say Kevin Love here...but, nah

Ok that is my list...The best of the best in 2-3 years who have 5 or less years of experience as of today.

It takes vision to do and we will have to come back in 3 years to see who go the most on the All NBA team...

I stopped reading your post after you picked Roy over Wade.

But I still learned of your infatuation with scare quotes and the apostrophe key.

You're putting LaMarcus Aldridge, Andrew Bogut, Yi Jianlin and Brook Lopez ahead of Chris Bosh who is 24 and has had three straight seasons where he's scored 22 points per game?
