Before guard Baron Davis finally agreed to a five-year, $65-million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, his representatives checked out the Knicks' interest in him, a source told Newsday.

"It clearly seemed that New York would have been Baron's first choice if there were a fit," said a person with knowledge of Davis' situation.

I'll try to watch all televised games, and I still won't remember this thread. I can't even remember what I ate for lunch yesterday.

Even then you don't think playing in his hometown would be enough to motivate him?
