Yea Head is bad but Greek Mac wasn't ready to play. He has no outside shot so he couldn't play with Yao Ming.

WTF? He's 37% career 3 points in Euroleagues, 39% career 3 points in Greek leagues, and 37% career in FIBA tournaments. No outside shot?

Read my lips: HE CAN"T SHOOT.

You can ask anyone who has seen Greek Mac play in the NBA and they'll tell you the same thing. I'm one of the few rocket fan remaining who actually like the guy. The guy doesn't have NBA 3 point range and if he shoots 37% from inside the 3 point line. Well... now you know why he isn't in the NBA anymore. If he worked hard on his game, i think one day he could be a very good NBA player but his weakness was exposed playing against better athletes. He was turnover prone and couldn't shoot. It's got nothing to do with JVG.

5 minutes of NBA clips, no problem AT ALL with "better athletes" and no problem AT ALL shooting.

He'll be helpful, since Houston didn't have any real consistent shooters last year. Barry was still a big help to the Spurs, and his game isn't the kind that deteriorates too much with age. It's a step up, but Houston as currently consistuted needs a player who can create shots or plays other than McGrady or Yao.

Highlight clips means NOTHING. I can make a youtube mix with Jerome James and make him look like Shaq. Look at his stats. Look at his performance. He didn't play well. He was too turnover prone and not good enough a shooter to warrant playing time.

It's a solid pickup in my opinion. I'm surprised the Spurs let him go for nothing and even more surprised that he finally left. I think he would have been a good fit for the Nugs playing alongside AI and Melo. He would have been an upgrade over Anthony Carter over my opinion but by no means the answer to all of our problems.

In any case...nobody is talking about the most important issue here. The Rockets now have the 1996 slam dunk contest winner. Man that kid could jump!

Good pickup. He is one of those guys that just knows the game. When its all done for him he could be a GM or coach because so smart. I think he'll be great on TV in the future though. Houston still needs a third scorer. IMO they need it NOW. You could wait till the deadline but the West is so tough it could be tough to move up in the standings. The Rockets need to get a high seed if they plan on going far in the playoffs. If they can make a run at Rasheed Wallace, Vince Carter, or even a Jamal Crawford type they should make a run now.

LOL at the man-love for Spanoulis. He was pretty much worthless every time JVG tried to give him a shot. He stubbornly refused to learn to play off the ball, was a horrible, horrible long range shooter and was unwilling to improve his outside game. He felt he was Greek Mac and wanted to dominate the ball like T-Mac. When JVG did give him the ball, all he did was turn it over at an amazing rate, telegraphing passes to the 10th row and being completely oblivious of team mates and team strategy.

Then of course, afterwards he went back home crying to his mama, literally -- complaining about how the Rockets had "deceived" him into thinking they were going to make him into an NBA superstar. Talk about grand delusions. For all the criticisms that are often leveled at European players coming into the NBA, at least it can be said for most that they knew their roles, played within them and grew in them. Spanoulis, on the other hand, seemed to live in an alternate universe.

LOL! I like your (hopefully sarcastic) statement.. yea, just ignore everything from records to situations and just look at one series. By your basis, 3 teams on the East are >> than every team on the West. They are Boston, Cavs, and Hawks. Yep, next year these 3 teams will go 1, 2, 3 and rain destruction throughout the league.
