Who to Pick?

Post#1 » by chibearsfan » Thu Jul 10, 2008 9:08 pm

I'm in a keeper league and I got the 3rd pick in our draft. Assuming everyone keeps the player they should, who should I take at #3?

The keepers are most likely gonna be AP, LT, Westbrook, Brady, P. Manning, and Romo. The players that I'll be considering at the #3 pick are Addai, Stephen Jackson, Portis, Gore, and Randy Moss.

Let me know who'll prolly get picked ahead of me and who I should pick at the 3 spot.

Thanks.

1) What is your league configuration?

2) Assuming that you don't have some crazy configuration that alters one position player far above another; Joseph Addai is your safest choice.

3) The bigger question is: "How is Joseph Addai not a Keeper on another team?" How many teams are in your league for Addai, S Jax, etc NOT to be declared as a Keeper?

Addai was actually on my team, and so was Steven Jackson.

In last year's draft, my first pick was Jackson, than I got Addai as my 2nd round pick. I stole AP in the later rounds.

I'm gonna make AP my keeper.

Since I got the 3rd pick, I doubt Addai will be available; he'll prolly be the #1 pick in this keeper league. Now it comes down to who will be the #2 pick and who will be available for me at #3.

Knowing that, who do you recommend I should take.

Thanks.

BTW, the league configuration is fairly standard. So I'll be looking to add another RB with my first pick. But Randy Moss seems very inticing, as he will also be available.

Joseph Addai is your safest pick. You probably can't go wrong with him. My next choice would be Steven Jackson. My worry with him is that he plays on a team that really isn't competitive. That basically means that if they get blown out, that team would be looking to throw more than run.

Addai is the safest pick out of that bunch of players. Jackson is a very solid back... when healthy. Although I will credit some of Jackson's struggles with St. Louis' terrible offensive line play last year, and injuries on their line didn't help Jackson out either. However, Addai will more likely see more carries this year than last because Peyton Manning's having some problems with an injury early in the season already.

Ofcourse Addai is safest bet. But I got the 3rd pick in the draft. I'm pretty sure he will go #1. I'm also pretty sure that SJAX will go #2. That being said, of the remaining players, who should I pick.

The keepers are AP, LT, Westbrook, Brady, Manning, Romo, and Edwards.
