Re: Radmonovich for Evans?
id rather play jason smith at the 3 then aquire vlad. The only deal that makes sense is Sasha sign and trade for Reggie Evans to replace the turiaf role

A giant hell no from L.A. on Reggie Evans for Sasha Vujajic. Who are you trying to kid?
Vujajic is a good player far from the class of the two players we're talking about.
Sure if you include Jason Smith in there then yes we might be willing to do a deal like that.

That coupled with the fact that he's even a bigger salary cap albatross that Reggie Evans is because his deal is even bigger, to me means no go.
At least Evans is productive, and frankly, is more suited to a role off the bench. Also, just because you're over the cap means that you should throw extra money out. That $1-2M/yr difference puts you that much closer to the luxury cap, and also makes someone that much harder to trade.
Yes, VR can hit 3s. So can a lot of other people at a much lower cost/pricetag, who might even be able to try on defense (this guy makes Korver look respectable on D).
While it may be true Vlade looked lost & had no idea how to play in a system in the finals.. Keep in mind that system is the triangle.
Much better players than Vlade have been perplexed by it in the past.
He never looked lost in Seattle. He had a set role within the offense & did a great job at it.
Seems to be a pretty even mix of fans who like it/don't like it on both teams.. That's usually how the trades that actually happen go.. lol

Evans is more 2-dimensional than 1-dimensional. He plays very good defense, especially on high pick-and-rolls in addition to his rebounding efforts.
I like the guy--I think he adds some competitive fire, but I don't know if we can find him a spot in the rotation this year if we want to get Speights some minutes. I'm not averse to trading him, and maybe Vlad just wasn't a triangle kinda guy...

What about this 3 team trade ?
Lakers get Jaric for Radmanovic
Sixers get Radmanovic for Evans
Grizzlies get Evans for Jaric
The Lakers get a solid veteran and versatile player that can play three positions.
The Grizzlies get an inside defensive presence and a solid role player.
And the Sixers impove their perimeter shooting while adding a solid backup player for the 3/4 spot.
Regards.
