Thank you Najera for the memory. I wish u good luck in NJ.
I think we need to trade or sign a big body. Maybe Kristic could be a good fit. He will come cheap i think.

wow, that guy actually played on both sides of the court too. you need hustle guys like that can knock down shots. najera, jr, and klieza seemed like AIs favorites to pass to as well...bad move on denver's part. makes me nervous about how aggressive they'll be about retaining JR if they resign carter before they resign najera.

I'm so dissapointed... it's not just tha Najera was the cheap-hustling-high bball IQ-good locker room guy player... it's because the last year he shoot the 3 well!!! We need shooters and defense... and we let Ed go! It's disgusting... Plus the AI-Jr-Kleiza-Najera combo was HUGE the last part of the season for us, those 20+ +/- to comeback the first quarter disasters..

Thanks for the good times, Eddie. Wish like hell we resigned you, but your guts, hustle, determination won't be forgotten by the fans. Best to you.

That's a shame. We just got worse.

Re: Kristic: I'd love to have him on the Nugs but he'll be more expensive than Eddie.

The FO are horrible. How u sign Carter first and not offer ED anything!!!
Now, we have thin front court and all of them are injury prone

Damn...Sucks to see Eddie leave. This is a horrible offseason so far for us. Making a trade just for the the sake of making a trade during the draft and signing Carter. Our FO sucks, what a buncha morons.

sucks to see the guy go. the team will definitely miss him next year.
When Vinny Del Negro sends in his taxes, he sends blank forms and includes only a picture of himself, crouched and ready to attack. Vinny Del Negro has not had to pay taxes ever.

That is the part that sucks, we didn't even offer him a deal. Well, I hope it works out for Najera and that the Nets will learn to appreciate him as much as most Nuggets fans have.

Will the next guy to leave by way of a front loaded contract be JR?

Ugh, this is horrible. At this rate, I could see JR leaving to. Which IMO, would knock us out of the playoffs.

Alot of Eddies minutes should goto LK. Its a tough loss, but I to an extent understand saving money on a guy who is getting older and relies mainly on his hustle. I could see it if he were looking for around the minimun, but he could deteriorate extremely quickly and $3 million a year is alot for this team to shell out right now as it would be paid in double and his production is sure to drop off in the years to come. Ild rather see a younger hustling big step in there on a cheaper contract at this point in time.

But thanks Eddie, loved ya while you were here, and no matter what, Im sure you'll be missed.

One of the things that doesn't bother me so much about the departure of Najera is how after we got bounced from the playoffs this past season, he was one of the guys that spoke up about George Karl. He said something to the effect that if GK was let go he wasn't coming back. Well, we kept GK (why?) and Najera still bolted at the first contract that was offered to him. I liked Najera and I am sad to see him go, but he can be replaced.

What in the world is going on over there in Denver? You've got all these overpaid bigs who aren't worth a damn and you let the guy you can have at a bargain go? Not to mention a guy who bring intangibles to a team that's almost void of them? Najera isn't some extremely talented player, but I thought he made sense in Denver.

Don't get me started on Carter. I have no idea what the hell Denver sees in him that would make him such a priority.

I'm so disappointed in Denver. That fight in New York was awful, Melo imo was playing like a MVP before that fight 2 seasons ago. Ever since then he hasn't been the same. The AI'Melo experiment is a failure. They should have shaken things up this off-season in my opinion.

The West is tough I know. In the East Denver's like a 3 or 4 seed, but it's the hand your dealt and this Denver team as constructed ain't good enough, no where near good enough to come out of the West.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Najera will really be missed, and difficult to replace.

But this pretty much confirms that our FO has no offseason plan whatsoever.

our FO is stupid. and we could've had Artest :(

good contract by Eddie though, he'll be milking all those cash in no time (does he want to win a ring?). IMO the Nets have **** themselves.

they're loaded at the 4/5 positions with Williams, Boone, Lopez, Yi... how does Eddie find minutes in their rotations?

damn its sad to see the franchise hit the self destruct button like this.

anthony carter was more of a priority to denver than eduardo najera.

amazing...

AI or Camby are not going to make it to November if this says anything at all..
