Greatest College Shooters of all Time

Post#1 » by KingRobb02 » Fri Jul 11, 2008 11:18 pm

With the 3 point line moving back, ESPN has an article up about the greatest shooters in NCAA history (INSIDER). I thought it was a nice history lesson, but here are the ones that I thought stood out to our team.

1. Dennis Scott, Georgia Tech, 1988-90: 351-831 (.422)

2. Steve Kerr, Arizona, 1983-88: 114-199 (.573)
He was a great shooter, and he turned that singular skill into a stellar career. Kerr is a great lesson: Don't get caught up in what a player cannot do at the expense of what he does so well.

4. J.J. Redick, Duke, 2003-06: 457-1,126 (.406)

Holy crap!!! J.J Redick took 1,126 threes at Duke? I mean wow i knew it was a lot but not that number...and i guess that would explain why he never gets in games for the magic cause his arms are still tired from shooting those threes lol

I don't know what tthe rules are for posting stuff from insider articles, but I'm willing to post more. 3 Magic players in the top 4 and Reggie Miller was number 3. I agree with D Scott, because he was his teams best player (before Anderson showed up) and jacked them up from half court. Steve Kerr had Kenny Lofton and Sean Elliot.

He took less than 200 shots for his career. You have to take volume into account.
