The Wizards biggest need right now is a competent defensive backup small forward. Dominic McGuire could be that guy this year. Last year, he showed promise on defense but for the most part was ineffective and only good for rebounding.

I agree we need a defensive player. Someone like Posey would be great. McGuire has a great wingspan, but no idea what his limitations are as far as guarding quicker players. Also, I want us to explore trading Haywood. He's actually a decent center, but what a headache!

We're in no position to trade away elite post defenders considering how terrible the rest of our team is defensively (minus Stevenson and to a lesser extent Caron).

Haywood and Etan's problems are in the past. Now, Brendan is a motivated guy working his butt off and putting up career numbers while being efficient on offense and consistently solid on defense (well, he's never really been inconsistent with his defense).

I agree with Miller. If Arenas can come in and be the Arenas of old, with an improved Butler, and Young, Jamison, Stevenson, and Haywood, I really think they can be an elite team in this league. They have so much talent, and one thing I've noticed is, and if Washington fans want to clarify or correct me, that Butler isn't really aggressive when Arenas is on the floor. That he isn't the dominate offense player he can be when surrounded by other offensive minded guys? Like our situation with Prince to lesser extent?? I think if thats true, and Butler can become more aggressive, and injuries aren't a problem, a lineup of:

Arenas/Daniels
Stevenson/Young
Butler/Songalia?
Jamison/Blatche
Haywood/Thomas

can win the East easily.

Pacers have a solid, young prospect at every position except PF. I'm hoping we can land Carl Landry.

PG: Duhon/Nate
SG: Crawford/Q-Rich
SF: Chandler/Balkman
PF: Gallinari/Lee
C: Zach/Curry

Need a shooting guard that can shoot and defend
Defensive rebounding big to compliment Gallinari
Need to trade Zach and Curry and Buyout Marbury, James, and Malik
Need any kind of star because we have all role players

Maybe our teams can help each other. We need a Pg and C and you need a combo guard and backup SG.

How about this:

Nets get:

S&T Keyon Dooling

Your choice between JJ Redick or Keith Bogans (or both)

and a future #1 pick

Orlando gets:

Stromile Swift or S&T Nenad Krstic

and Marcus Williams

Aldridge/Frye/Diogu

Webster/Outlaw/Batum (d-league)

Roy/Fernandez

Blake/Bayless/Rodriguez/Koponen (d-league)

:droop: Nothing.

or Tayshaun Prince.

Haywood would be the last person I would trade on the Wizards. He is everything that is right with basketball. An elite post defender with double double potential.

Dalenbert is your man if you can get him and toronto can give you bargnani, moon, and graham for rip hamilton to help you with the second problem. Oh for the Rip trade they will include two future seconds as well.

Warriors need a backup PG badly. Marco Belinelli is not a PG. CJ Watson is not a PG. Monta Ellis is still growing into that role.

I would absolutely do that . Reddick or Bogans aren't really neccessary would just be fillers if you want get rid of them. Especially Reddick i mean Brian Hill is one of our assistant coaches the one that first send Reddick to the bench and never let him see light in his rookie year.
