Re: What you think ATL / TOR
I like it, but Jawai can't be traded for 30 days. Also Delfino's a RFA, so he'd have to be sign and traded. And since Kapono is already making the MLE, I doubt the math will add up. I think it overvalues Childress. I doubt the Toronto team would do and I know their fans will respond unfavorably. Admittedly there is no pleasing Raptor fans because of their high valuations of their own players, but this time I would agree that it is too one-sided.

A trade is between two or more bargaining partners.

Yes and an opinion is the thought held by an individual concerning a particular matter. I am aware of what a trade is. It still doesn't change my opinion that the math on the salaries won't match up unless they wish to pay Childress 8M-9M starting salary or that Toronto would not do the proposed deal because it includes too much talent for Childress and Jones (and a 2nd). I'm unsure of their interest in Childress, perhaps they value him greatly, but in my opinion a perimeter shooting specialist like Kapono has greater demand in this market and to their team. To me Jones has zero value because he's of what he's accomplished over the last 2 years. Delfino would have to be paid enough to sign in this scenario, which is why I have my doubts about including him.
Childress and Jones
for
Kapono and Jawai
is closer in fairness and realistic chances, imo.

Raptor fan here- love the trade.
Childress would be a good fit on the Raps and would provide a lot of the things we're missing on the wings. On the other hand, I assume you guys are looking for a shooter, and there's none better than Kapono. We're not planning on bringing back Delfino, so a S+T should be fine.
I'd hate to give up Jawai though, how about Kris Humphries instead? It wouldn't be a deal breaker, just a preference.
Though to be completely honest, I thought Josh Childress would have more value than this.

I'd do it for Humphries too if the salaries matched. Chil is productive in his minutes but he is a role player who too often dictates the set we have to use because of his limitations.
Delfino provides us with tough D off the bench and Kapono can bring the deadeye shooting we are missing. Add in that we usually whiff on our second rounders anyway and Solo hasn't gotten any burn and Humphries would be a nice addition.

Re: What you think ATL / TOR
I sit corrected (again). A very reasonable Raptor fan drops by and likes the deal. So maybe I undervalue Josh Childress in the grand scheme of things. I admit he's an excellent all-around player just not the shooter we need to spread the floor.

Re: What you think ATL / TOR
Jawai is a 7' 0" 208 lber with smooth post moves and a stroke from inside 15'. He would really help.
Our outside shooting would be vastly improved.
A lineup of
Horford / Jawai
Smoove / Zaza
Marvin / kapono
JJ / Delfino
Bibby / Law / Speedy
Could look real good. Another cheap FA big and possibly a deadline deal with Bibby for maybe Lowry and a player and we could have our championship caliber team.

V isn't the only Raptor fan who likes the deal. I think it's more than reasonable for the Raptors. The tricky part is getting Delfino and Childress to agree to the deal, though. From the Raptors' end I'd even be willing to throw in a reasonably protected first round pick if Delfino couldn't be included for whatever reason.

That's why I cooked this one up. We need to improve size and shooting. The shooting is in the deal, plus size and depth. I wanted the Hawks to swing a second and go after him (Jawai). I saw his vids, he is real big and he has moves. He's the center-piece for me. Put it all together with another decent cheap like Ely or Skinner and we might have everything we need.

Raptors accept. I would absolutely LOVE to have Childress on the Raptors.
