LOL @ the Lakers being reluctant to part with Odom for Artest. They get Gasol for peanuts and then they don't want to give up ANY talent in another trade?

Odom isn't even enough for Artest -- you're trading a 15/9/4 career underachiever who's "incredibly soft" (Laker fans' words) for a 19/6/4 former DPOY who is a much better shooter and individual offensive player. Yeah, real fair trade <snicker>. And the Lakers don't even want to do
that?

I guess they need MORE TALENT to win a championship. It's sad that this is what they would need to win a title:
PG: a 12-14 ppg, good defensive, heady veteran PG
SG: a top 3 player in the NBA at the very worst
SF: a 19/6/4 former DPOY
PF: a 19/9/2 blk/53% former all-star 7' PF
C: a 16.5/11.5/2.5 blk/55+% 7'1" center (conservative estimate based on pre-injury play)
Bench: a 15/9/4 versatile 6'10" SF/PF hybrid and scads of shooters.
I mean, you might as well give them BDiddy at PG while you're at it -- maybe they'll be able to win then.
