There are also, of course, intelligent individuals who have strong views about things and agree with moves - though not all times.

In Redick's defense, he didnt get much playing time but when he was in he played well (as a role player). In Lee's defense, he a little more athletic and more defensive minded than Redick. Both have heart. Lets be embracefull.

Okay yea we didn't get Rush, Koufus, or CDR but we won 52 games last year and filled necessary spots in the off season.

I want Rubio, 3% we trade for him but the glass will alway be half-full for me and we don't get him im not going to moarn because my favorite player (#12) is still with my favorite team.

And Maggettes is good but we didnt need him

What do you mean YOU DID NOT NEED MAGGETTE???????????????????????????????????????

Yes you did!!! What are you smoking!? It is over and done with but he would have been absolutely perfect with your team are you kidding me!?

He will make the difference between you being a fringe playoff team in the first round from one who can get to the second.

The East has improved too much in your own division to think you are gonna sneak up on teams again! He would have helped immensely what the hell are you talking about?

You did need him! Again I like Pietrus. He is gonna be good, but not great. He is a regular season kind of guy. Maggette is a get to the free throw line and convert type of physical playoff type guy.

There is a difference. Maggette would have balance out Lewis and Turk and Howard perfectly! I like Evans more then I do Pietrus for you!

You ask are Magic fans ever gonna be happy, they are happy you are not their RealGM with comments like this....LOL.

Hell yeah you needed Maggette!

Win a championship and I'll be happy. Thats the goal every year for good teams and it should be the same for the Magic. Anything less is a disappointment. Although if we do make the ECF or the Finals next year I will admit I'll be pleased and excited for the next year, but not happy until theres a celebration going down church street.

maginno wrote:I kinda laugh when I see threads like this on RealGm. Why? Because of the faulty assumptions. Realgm was created and named because it was understood that part of the ENJOYMENT of the games was in tossing ideas around, playng the Gm perspective and getting involved in discussing the makeup and building of a team. Getting mentally involved in that part of the game only increases the entertainment value.

Of course intelligent people once they get involved will begin to have strong views about things and therefore disagree with moves etc but thats part of the process and rather than taking away from the enjoyment of sports it enhances it.

Lets say you are a JJ detractor when he gets traded tell me you wont derive some greater satsifaction from his removal and if you have argued for JJ's playing time and he moves and gets it tell me you won't get satisfaction from him putting up some good games elsewhere.

Part of the game is the armchair Gming. I guess if you are not a fan of the game itself and just a local team fan and nothing else it can be depressing to hear various views but for those who aren't they are just kicking their ideas around and enjoying the NBA game even more for it. I know I do. and thats why Realgm exists.

:o Hey man, good post. Just thought I'd throw out some love since I'm typically always banging heads with you. You summed up my feelings quite nicely.

Did you mean ship as in championship? Or has the whole idea of trading JJ for a bag of chips taken hold? :D

Well, now we know the truth at least. You not only hate UCF, you hate the Magic, too.

LOL...Too late for that dispersal draft thing at this point, though. The arena deal got approved.

As for the rest of you guys, I don't remember hearing from so many of you guys when the team was struggling.

I dont know, I think I have been one of the happiest fans. We exceeded everyone's including our own expectation last year. We had a lot a shortcomings by our players that could have turned the whole Detroit series around and things would have been different. But that said a team goes as far as it deserves to go. And we did not belong to the finals in the East rightfully so. Therefore, I am very happy to beat the Toronto but as a passionate fan I like to achieve higher goals like every dedicated fan should.

I dont think happiness and expecting more should be integrated. It should be "I am happy, but I expect more".
