i was just on celticsblog (ive never posted there, i feel like a loyal realgmer, but ive taken to browsing because they often have links to articles i would otherwise miss) and they have a thread asking if antoine is a "valid option" if he gets bought out.
obviously he is under contract right now, but remember how he stepped up his commitment when he first got to miami and slimmed down and was playing a load of SF? this isnt really a bring back antoine post so much as i wanted to ask, does anyone think he would do that in order to come back here and play with paul again and finish out his career coming full circle?
probably not... but what are your thoughts?

I have the feeling that Antoine Walker will be a recurring source of questions on RealGM probably- I was going to say until he dies- but probably forever. Should Wyc Jr. Jr. IV invest in this experimental treatment that might revive Antoine's corpse and let him be our back-up 5? He played some center as a rookie, and if he has the right attitude it could work.

IF Posey is out of the picture, perhaps we can take a look at someone like Devean George for a 1 year contract. I didn't follow him a lot last year, but he seemed to be a good defender that could hit spot jumpers back in the day. I have other guys over Devean but, I think this one makes sense as long as it is a short term solution (1 year) and allow us to get a backup PG, and perhaps some other player.

I like him too. He is excellent shooter and ball-handler, ok as a playmaker and he is competitive. What's not to like. People might say defense and point to Ray's layup as an example but that was Gasol's blown assignment. I actually think Vujacic is at worst average as a defender and I would say he likely a few ticks above average. I would ab-so-frickin-lute-ly love having Vujacic on this team.

Vujacic? I agree he's a decent player all things considered, or was one last season. I actually was intrigued by what I read about him before he entered the NBA. But, when push comes to shove, he's a soft Euro who came out of nowhere during the second half of his contract year. Thats what makes me too nervous to consider him.

Poor Sasha. He isn't a "soft" european. He plays some pesky in your face D. He just was not given the body to D guys up like Ray Allen. He doesn't have the lateral quickness or strength of the average NBA player he goes against.
