Hey Just read somewhere that. Kobe can opt out the same year too.
Shamports says he has a players option over $24 mil. That would a lot of money to turn down. And I really dont see Kobe leaving the Lakers, but if they keep getting there a$$ kicked by Boston and Detroit. I can see a change coming.

Re: Imagine
Besides Odom, everyone important is locked up for a decent amount of time. Unless something drastic happens, I highly doubt he's opting out. With that said, he'd demand to go sometime that he basically can guarantee himself another championship within the 1st/2nd year on the new team. If Bynum was healthy, I'm almost positive the Lakers would have won this series even with the Ref's fisting them 3 out of 4 quarters in almost every game in that series. If Bynum is healthy and can just put up close to a double double a night, a line up of Fisher/Kober/Odom/Gasol/Bynum = NBA Championship. Either that or they can send Odom to Sacto for Artest/Filler and I'd say the same exact thing.

its hard to believe that can happen but I still LBJ would be better for us in the long run.
The "Turnpike" deserve a NBA championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Imagine
Haha Lebron would be like 26 at that point. He's crazy now and technically hasn't entered his "prime." I just hope within the next 2 years he stops those stupid pull-up fade-away jumpers from the 3pt line. My roommate is from Cleveland and goes crazy when he starts doing that in tight situations. He needs to attack the basket at all times and kick it to guys that are better 3pt shooters.
Let me pose another question. If we don't land LBJ but definitely landed another big free agent that offseason, who would you want to land? Wade? Bosh/Amare even if we have 1-2 of our big man make huge strides in the next 2 years? Just curious to see what you guys think.

Re: Imagine
Whether we get Lebron or not, the possibilities are endless.
The only problem is like this FA season it depends on the wave. Depending on where Lebron decides to go, it will dictated the rest. I truly think that whoever gets lebron, lebron will factor out where the next one goes. Lebron is connected too so many players it is going to be crazy.
To answer your question;
1-lebron
2-Wade (I really dont think he is leaving Sunny FL)
3-Kobe (doubt he leaves LA)
4-Amare (only because he is used to a fast paced game)
5-Bosh

Re: Imagine
Mine would probably look like this:
1. Lebron
2. Bosh
3. Amare (Even though he has not had any problems, his microfracture surgery still scares me)
4. Wade (has to turn to his indestructible form)
5. Dirk (If we're gonna talk Kobe, Dirk has an ETO that offseason too)
6. Kobe (not a chance in hell unless we have a team that will win a championship the first season he's there. He won't exercise it anyway.)
I just hope Lebron will choose quickly. If he chooses us, we have 2 draft picks that offseason that could potentially both be lottery picks if Kidd doesn't pan out. We could package an expiring with the 2 picks for another legit player to play with Lebron or trade up to a top 3 pick (obviously this is based on both being in the lottery). Regardless, you're correct in that Lebron is gonna dictate a lot, but I also personally only see Lebron going to chicago, us, the knicks or a team in LA. Miami is a possibility but if he leaves Cleveland, I'm 99% sure he's going to a top 3 media market.

AK47 would be a nice pick up as well. Although Utah in my eyes will probablly be a great team by that time with a fully developed Deron Williams and an even better established chemistry between him and Boozer.
