Post#1 » by boshjonesford » Mon Jul 14, 2008 5:59 am

What do you think the standings for the eastern conference will be next year.

My pick

1) Boston
2) Phili (or Toronto cant decide)
2) Toronto (JO claims he is healthy and rejovinated)
4) Pistons (front court is really old)
5) Orlando ( need to improve back court)
6) Cleveland (no second option)
7) Atlanta ( youth older and better)
8) Washington ( i have a bad feeling)

I think it's way to early to make these predictions. Teams have just started tweaking their rosters.

No you didn['t forget about CHI. They just suck real bad. Who has any idea what the master plan is over there. It would have looked a lot more clear if gordon and deng signed those deals last year.

Boston
Philly
Detroit
Orlando
Toronto
Cleveland
Washington
Miami.

I don't overrate teams that did well against us. I think these teams are coasting on that idea....and so far haven't done anything to upgrade themselves.

What do you mean! You all know that the Raptors will have another illustrious Atlantic Division banner to hang in their hallowed rafters. Deepest team in the league 1-15, remember that.

(I kid, I kid).

Too early, but here we go:

1. Boston
2. Orlando
3. Detroit
4. Cleveland
5. Philadelphia
6. Toronto
7 and 8: Any of Milwaukee, Atlanta, Washington, or Miami. I seriously think the Heat could have an above .500 record next season.

Who cares, it's not like that's a necessity to make the playoffs in the East!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Haha! But the East will be a lot better next year. My bold prediction is that the top 8 will all have winning records.

You forgot the Wizards. The Wizards would most certianly get at least the 7th seed in your standing.

We might actually only have one team below .500 in the playoffs next year.

MIA has talent but Marion will be traded and/or they don't have chemistry. Ricky Davis wasn't re-signed was he? Doubt it.

CHI is still ****. Rose is a PG, Hinrich is a PG/SG. Gordon is a SG/PG and Deng is a SF. They all are starting quality somewhere in teh NBA so one of them should be traded or put somewhere else. Gordon is a better Crawford so I think they should get rid of that one.

MIL added talent but still don't have support from their bigman defensively. Richard Jefferson stoped playing defense the past year and a half when his team wan't playoff bound. Redd never played defense. Bogut can't cover up these mistakes. And CV certainly can't. They shouldn't hit .500 next year; but should be a hell of a lot of fun to watch score... individually in ISOs.

ATL hasn't done anything to improve and Biby is only going to get worse. It's also possible they will lost Childress and ATL only goes about 7 men deep on their bench so that hits them much harder them your average bad team. Doubt they make it to .500 next year either.

One of those teams will most likely be the 8th seed again though.

Wtf? Raptors are NOT going to be that high first off, second off they won't have a better record than the thugs in Detroit, even though that team is declining. Celtics, Sixers, Pistons, Magic and Cavs will definitely have better records than the Torontos.
