Let's Just Get Charlie V

We must have a starting caliber PF on this team to play with EO50. Milwaukee wants to deal Chalie Villanueva. This guy is a quality young player, former teamate of Okafor, who can stretch the court with his shooting range while helping us with rebounding. Yes his defense is less than stellar, but maybe Larry get's him more focused. The deal it would take to get him would require May and Davidson (or Hollins once he signs the qualifying offer). Perhaps we pull a second round pick from the Bucks in the deal. I would hate losing the depth from Davidson and prefer Hollins but I suspect Davidson would be favored by the M's. We could get CV, keep our core players, and have a real chance to make a run this season at the playoffs. We could use the MLE to sign a FA PF for depth if necessary or sign the best one from the summer leagues.

why do you think they would do a deal for may and davidson? are they that desperate?

I don't think that would be their first deal, but maybe that becomes a "best option available" trade for them. CV is clearly on the market, and once that becomes very public you wonder how helpful that player will be to your team if he stays. With the trade of Yi Jianlian this may be a moot point. But as things stand today they only have CV or their rookie Joe Alexander as options at the 4. May and Davidson would provide 2 players to help that position.

If the Bucks got that desperate, then sure. The problem is that I don't see it coming to that.

And say what you want about Charlie, I have, the Bucks kind of need to hang onto him (or get considerable value) now that Yi is a Net.

Right now they only have him, Bogut, Gadzuric, Joe Alexander (assuming he signs his rookie deal), and Luc Mbah a Moute (again, rookie deal) on their roster for next season. I just wouldn't want Gadzuric or May as my 1st big off the bench.
