And we all saw how well that translated for Belinelli last year.

The key isn't that he scored 30, it's just how he played. He only scored 11 in his most recent game, but all the ingredients that excited in his first game were still there. I am amazed he fell to #14.

In Marco's 37 point outburst last year, he showed nothing other than the ability to bomb it if he got hot. AR has shown a wide array of skills.

I really like what the former sonics are doing, I think Westbrook and Ibaka will really surprise.

That said I think Portland is the favorite here and for reasons a bit different than what others have stated. The combination of an amazing GM and and the wealthiest owner in the NBA, makes it a very difficult franchise not to expect big things from.

Dominating indeed.

I guess Marc Gasol's 2 BPG means nothing then, huh?

I think the problem there is Arthur.

LOLOL I hope your joking right?

I can see the warriors do something big..
We already have 2 NBA ready players at a young age (Ellis and Biedrins)... Wright showed us some goodies last year, and as far as Belenelli and Randolph, they've showed some flashes of goodness in them...in the summer league, so I'm not saying it's a complete parallel to how they would play in the NBA but it's still good.

Not saying they will be the best, but they will be up there.

Conley and Gay are great players, but the other 3 have yet to show what they can do in the NBA. On paper that looks like a great line up, Arthur is pretty quick for his size and should be a decent scorer.

Marc is a lot tougher than his older sister, I see him getting 1-2 blocks and 8-10 rebounds a game easy, but I don't know much about his offensive game but from what I've heard it's nothing spectacular. Not that it's bad but just that you wouldn't consider him a great scorer. Still, he's got a better body than Pau and he's still young and could develop quickly in the NBA. 10/9/1.5 are the numbers I would expect for him early on, he could improve a lot down the road. It all depends on if his game translates into the NBA well enough. I think best case you get a 15/12/2 player out of him, which isn't bad by any means.

As for Mayo I think he's going to be an all-star, not quite considered a franchise player but one of those guys you want on your team. In other words he won't be a Lebron, Kobe, Howard, Paul or Wade type player but more of a part of a "big 3". 20ppg shouldn't be a stretch for him.

The problem with the team is lack of depth. Even if you have an impressive starting line up you need depth. Look what happened to the Lakers in the finals because their bench is relatively weak.

This is why a lot of people will choose the Blazers, besides their young stud All-star, once in a decade prospect and up and coming big time power forward they have some of the best depth in the league, not just among young teams.

Well yeah he's not exactly great, I was just lazy in typing that. He's solid though and does have some great games now and then.

^

The Grizzlies have a great core, but unless Gasol comes over and is close to or greater than his brother, they're going to really struggle in the post season with no inside force either offensively or defensively.

If Speights is anywhere as good as his SL is projecting, the Sixers will be the best team in the East in 3 years. Good enough to beat the Blazers? It all depends on Oden.

Five years? Too far out to project.
