With that out of the way, the Knicks basically stopped running plays halfway through the season, it was all one on one iso's basically with Jamal Crawford at the top of the key, and see what happens. Just no plays whatsoever every game was like a pickup game youd play in at a public park with strangers.

I agree, it was truly sad watching the Knicks at certain points last season

If I am the Clips, I'd even offer a first rounder if they can't get Smith or Okafor. I mean they have to get somebody to fill the shoes of Brand. At least Z-Bo will be able to score consistently. Also, I think he might play a bit more focused in a somewhat more stable enviroment with vets like Davis and Mobley to corral him a bit.

You can't offer a first rounder unless you protect him extremely heavy. That Clippers team is by no means a guaranteed playoff team with Z-BO, especially since the Clippers situation is not much better then the Knicks situation right now. Looks good on paper but when you think about it i don't think it'll mesh all that well.

I know, in the past, no matter how ugly things looked for NY there were quite a few Isiah supporters. Are there any at all left now? I mean how bad is it when one of your big signings is this big of a mess.

You guys do know that walsh really hasnt done much as Indiana's GM over the last 4-5 years?

only dumbasses like you would think he was the gm when it was really larry bird.

nice job...

Larry Bird was the GM. But, Donnie Walsh was the CEO of the Indiana Sports Corporation, thus, only answered to the owners of the Indiana Pacers, the Simons.

Walsh and Bird were both running the franchise. Both of them had their fingerprints in some way on all the decisions for the Pacers over the past several years.

I'm surprised Walsh wouldn't have gone for a Randolph for straight cap savings and a 2nd round pick that will likely be high for a team that has an aging core, lost it's best player in Brand, and would be adding a black hole at PF to replace him.

Seriously, they would put themselves extremely close to the luxury tax line this season, and would be at only about $47 million in committed salaries next year before re-upping Lee and Robinson, and could be lower if they could move the deals of Eddy Curry, Quentin Richardson, or Jamal Crawford for expirings.

This would be a huge immediate first step to a major rebuild, and the Trade Exception they would generate for roughly $14.77 million in salary would be a great piece to hold at the trade deadline to make a move that could help your team make a quick rebuild.

It's still NY. If they can jettison the contracts and start fresh, they could rebuild quickly and get some premiere free agents (probably not LeBron, but someone else premiere).
