Okay you pretty much exposed yourself for not watching games. Critt been in the league 1 year. He didn't play Pg with Memphis. He played SG.

Again like in the other board. Why would memphis want Bogans or JJ. They could easily sign a cheap shooter in free agency. Jarvis Hayes is looking for work. Giricek is looking for work. I'm sure Otis would love Crit. Would make up for the lost of not getting Stuckey. Critt has the skills to one day be special. Why would Memphis give that up for Keith Bogans.

Cause that's what Memphis does best. =D

Seriously, after the Gasol trade, I won't cut any trade scenario out.

Denton confirmed this rumor as true

By John Denton
FLORIDA TODAY
ORLANDO -- The Orlando Magic have held serious trade talks with the Memphis Grizzlies about point guard Javaris Crittenton, proof that the Magic have abandoned any serious hopes of retaining combo guard Keyon Dooling.
Dooling, Orlando’s top reserve off the bench last season, blasted the Magic on Monday for offering him their Bi-Annual Exception, a contract that would be worth $4.2 million for two years. Dooling, who made $3.5 million last season while averaging 8.1 points and 1.8 assists, summarily rejected the offer saying he was ``insulted’’ by it.
``I don’t even know why they offered that bi-annual because I rejected it right away. I don’t know if they were trying to devalue me or whatever the case may be, but that wasn’t acceptable,’’ said Dooling, Orlando’s top on-ball defender last season. ``It’s ridiculous. That’s not a suitable offer for someone who was a good player on a good team. It wasn’t a market value offer and that’s the bottom line.’’
Magic general manager Otis Smith has said repeatedly this summer that he would like to retain the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Dooling, but only ``if we can make the numbers work.’’ Dooling had great value to the Magic last season because he could play both the point and shooting guard positions.

Oh great. Now Keyon hates us. He'll drop 30+ on us each time we play him next season.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

give them KEBO (expiring and future 1st or Rights to Fran Vasquez)

I'm glad Otis is stepping up. With this we'll have some potentail to develop in Lee. Dwight, and Critt.

They have a flood of talented (but need development) point guards and Bogans expires at the end of next season. They might like JJ as well since they lost the 3pt capabilities of Mike Miller. It also doesn't appear that Memphis management has any intention of contending anytime soon. They appear to be playing it cheap and building solely through the draft.

With this information out it means one of two things. Either it's a done deal or it isn't going to happen. Releasing this type of information before it gets done can damage the deal to begin with.

Wow the trade talks must be real serious then but im not gonna get overly excited yet. Mem needs 3pt. shooting reallyyy bad, wether its Bogans, JJ, or both. Their best 2 shooters (Miller and Navarro) are gone and they were already lacking shooting to begin with. Bogans contract expires and it looks attractive to them. JJ is cheap and his contract is on its last year i believe. They are desperate, go get it done Otis. I can def say that this is holding up any PG signings which is understandable.

Redick's option was picked up by the Magic for this year and the next.

Memphis doesn't look to be building through the draft instead they are looking ahead to 2010 when certain fa's are available. Memphis will have more cap space then any other team for some of those fa's.

I think Jarvis signed with NJ already.....I dont know bout Girecek. The thing about Critt tho is that he isnt really a great shooter right now. Although he can play the 2, he is probably more of a 1 in most people's minds because of that. I disagree with the claim that he is a poor ball handler or poor playmaker tho, that drsd had said..... Anyway, that leaves memphis with three PG's who cant really shoot lights out and who are all redundant....I can see them wanting a better shooter off the bench like JJ or Bogans, especially when they already drafted Conley as their PG of the future and Mayo as their SG of the future.....

i guess they dont want another project PG on their hands, but they want someone who can come in from day 1 and knock down that open J off the bench......whereas, we are loaded with shooters who can come in and just knock down 3's but we dont have that change of pace guy off the bench who slash and create......If we throw in that future 1st, then i dont think it will be THAT bad of trade for Memphis, and Critt is probably better than anything we would of got with that pick anyway. I think it's a fair trade.

More news from the other board

Guys, just got off the phone with Denton. I've got some more news.

1.) Crittenton's agent(Wallace Prather) is based in Georgia. He is kind of an understudy to Aaron Goodwin who just so happens to be Dwight Howard's agent.

2.) Denton said he couldn't gaurantee it but he thought the deal had a good chance of going down with the Magic only giving up a couple of 2nd round picks.

3.) John said he thought finality on this deal could happen within the next 2 or 3 days if it indeed does happen and it felt like it had a good chance of going down.

4.) John felt bad for Dooling.

5.) I asked him about J.J. Redick and some of the rumors that had been flying around here about him today. He said he had heard similar stuff and that he would check it out for me.

Good link. IF Otis pulls off two second round picks and Bogans for Crit I'd give Otis the A+ on that and if he managed to get a serviceable big he gets the A on the whole offseason as well.

Word of warning if the price for Crit is so low. Another Florida team is also looking for a PG in big way until chalmers is ready. On the bright side they are looking for a veteran PG. They are very satisfied from what they have seen of Chalmer.
