Dwight & The Olympics

Post#1 » by LBPTarHeel27 » Mon Jul 14, 2008 9:58 pm

With Dwight being the only true center on the roster, he is bound to get extended minutes...potentially more than any other player on the team. His stamina has shown he can take it and produce the entire way. His athletic abilities and strength are going to be far beyond anything he even faces in the NBA.

My question is...

Is Dwight Howard about to become a global role model for the game of basketball more so than we ever thought he was going to be? Sure LeBron will be there, but he is a very unselfish player with great passing skills and will only help Dwight excel.

If Dwight is 100%, I really see him averaging numbers we have not seen in the Olympics before.

Can some one either direct me to or post what the Olympic records are for PPG, RPG, and BPG

FIBA game is different from the NBA, I don't think Dwight will have huge numbers like he does in the NBA. Plus, he will have extended minutes, but you can count on the USA team to beat easily some of the natioal teams they face in the olympics, and this mean less time on the court for D12.

I just hope he doesn't get worn down from playing this much in the offseason. We definitely can't afford for that to happen.

I don't want anyone to get seriuosly hurt, but I hope that Chandler ends up on the team to take a little of the load off Dwight...but Superman is gong to be alright and is going to make us proud!

Amare declined.

The only other big men are Bosh, Boozer.

Chandler was sent there tho, in case of an injury.
