What would it take for Crash?

Post#1 » by Rapsobsessed7 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 3:46 pm

assuming Okafor walks. Would you guys be open to a deal of Bargnani+Filler+Pick for Crash? You can then Sign josh smith to replace crash at SF. I know theres alot of Boozer rumors out there but Boozer is a proven allstar Crash isnt so i dont think there very true but if that happens obviously great for you guys. So would you consider this is A) Okafor Walks and B) Boozer trade doesnt happen. your lineup would be:

Felton/Augustin
J-Rich/Caroll
Dudley/Morrison
Josh Smith/May
Bargnani/Nazr/Ajinca

All raptor fans on our board love J-Rich and want him in a trade of bargnani and i know thats just a dream but i was reading something that said all charlotte players aare available? Or something like that is what wallace said to respond to the trade rumors. I know J-Rich is out of the question so would a wallce deal be possible? If theres any deal we can offer for J-rich outside of Bosh, Calderon, JO please share but i dont think there is so dont bash i come in peace :)

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I mean, Crash for TJ Ford was close value wise for both teams, right? Use that as the starting point.

well i think the raptors wanted a pick as well is what ive heard. So i doubt it was a second round pick why not make the trade happen because of a second rounder. Im assuming it was your lotto pick and Jordan eventually didnt want to go through with it

Yea, lotto pick would've been too much value. I'm thinking we picked up the 20 to try and get Ford and then Charlotte would've taken a big at 9, but oh well.

If Okafor leaves, I don't really see Bargnani being a suitable Larry Brown type replacement. I'm probably about to get ragged on by my peers, but I think Humphries and Moon would be good value.

Here's my thinking Bobcat fans. Moon is a less injured, but older player that's pretty similar to Gerald. Humphries is a really good, young big guy that would do the things we talked about wanting David Lee to do when the Felton-Lee rumor was circulating. I guess Moon is a fa though, same as Parker who I initially had interest in. Still, something like that is more appealing to me than Bargnani.

I didn't want Lee and I'd want Humphries even less - especially for Crash.

No need for Bargs. I'd rather just invest the playing time into Ajinça and see what we have in him than soak up all his potential playing time with Bargs.

There is only one guy on the Raps roster that I would want want and there is no hope of getting him so it's a moot point.

I couldn't disagree more. The only thing that's close about them is that they are both one awkward fall away from being out of the league. That being said, give me Crash every day of the week over Ford.

Wouldn't want to immediately downgrade Felton to backup, right? Good call.
