He sounds like a nice young player. He must be incredibly built if he is 225 lbs at 6'3". It seems like he will make the roster. But can anyone see him earning playing time over Willie Green?

Once commited to play at Tennessee (imagine what might have been),
I watched Gordon play all three years at MSU and was shocked that he went undrafted.
The guy has got an NBA body and is built like Chauncey Billups. He doesn't compare to Billups game wise but size wise think Billups. I think in time Gordon could become the shooter that Billups is but his point guard skills are lacking (although he can manage the position despite being turnover prone). As far as getting to the hoop Gordon gets there at will and was at times a one man team at MSU. He had his way with Derrick Rose in the tourny and can hold his own with NBA competition due to his physical style and build. He's a streaky shooter in the mold of a Willie Green but is far quicker off the dribble and is a much better finisher than Green in my opinion and twice the defender. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes Willie Greens job this season even as an UDFA. He is a fierce competitor that has a good attitude to go with it (something Green lacks). Again Gordon will remind you of players such as John Starks or Vernon Maxwell (combo guards that were streaky but when they get hot lookout).
I hope he makes this team, i've rooted for Gordon since he's been in college.

That's a good point on Gordon about how he did against Derrick Rose. Rose absolutely torched every single PG in the tourney he played against except for one...Gordon. That's a testament to his defensive abilities. I don't know if he can take Willie Green's spot this season but I think he has a chance to crack the rotation.

There wouldn't be enough room in the rotation, so it would have to be either him or Willie. Lou will already be taking up 25 minutes backing up the 1/2, so there will probably only be about 12-15 minutes left for another guy. But competition is always good, it will only make them better...

True, but the thing that helps Gordon is that he can play both PG and SG effectively so that could help him get just a little bit of PT this season.

OK, I'm not seeing any of this.

While I do agree that they are both streaky shooters, I disagree that Gordon is "far quicker, a better finisher, and twice the defender that Green is." Green is quick and explosive. I'm not seeing that from Gordon at all. And it's one thing to play D in college or summer league but to say the guy is twice the defender when he's never defended NBA guards? WOW.

I've never seen Green have a bad attitude. O'Brien never played Green when AI was here, and not once did Green complain publicly or dog it on the court.

If you think Gordon is better, that's fine, we just disagree. But from what I've seen of the guy, I just don't see it.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but according to this article, Gordon plans to join the Warriors summer league team for the Salt Lake City summer league.

It would be nice if they got the college right. He played for Miss St not Grand Valley State. I guess these writers do not use Google, lol. I loved Gordon on college, but from what I see currently, he does not have a pro game. At best he could be the 11th to 12th man. I hope he stays with GS.

It would also be nice if they could get the pictures right. Especially for guys who are not rookies.

Also,

Here's our guy who actually went to Grand Valley St., but look where they have him from.

Whoever is in charge of that site should be fired.

Yeah, there are a LOT of errors on the Summer League site. Really, how hard is it to use Google?

Gordon is not too bad...but i dont see him bringing anything to the table that we need...
Hes not a true 1 and has limited range and consistency with his shot.

We should sign Derrick Byars back

Let's try to bring in Luther Head and Kareem Rush, so teams do not try and rip us off.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
