Brand's replacement appears to be Camby.

Just beat me to it.

So this knocks the Clippers out of offering Iggy a deal, right?

I think so. I wonder if Denver now has cap space? I sense no because Denver paid a ton of luxury tax last year.

If that's an official deal, that should speed up the rest of the FA's signings. Unless Memphis suddenly decides to use their cap space, there is no team out there than can really try to up the value of any of the RFA's.

I'm a bit surprised LA is pairing Kaman with Camby since I don't see either guy being able to defend the 4 spot that well. Decent move though if they only had to deal a 2nd rd pick. I guess Denver is admitting they are not a contender.

They won't have cap space. This move was mainly done to avoid the luxury tax so there is no way they will have cap room to make a run at any significant FA.

Wow.

Donnie Walsh played himself... He thought he could squeeze out more than a 2nd-rounder for Z-Bo, and.... well..... nope. He's left with 3 more years of Zach Randolph at 15-16-17 mil per... Ouch.... Thank god I'm not a Knicks fan.

i think this got them just under the luxury tax. Just off the top of my headl ike 68 mil or so.. I think they were at 76 or so last year.

Yeah with Camby out of Denver they are really void of any defense. So are they admitting that they are in rebuild mode? Wow I wouldn't want to be a fan of that team.

Are they now in firesale mode? They have absolutely no shot of winning anything in the west now. I'm not the biggest Iverson fan, but it's a shame he's going to be stuck there the rest of his career...especially considering he did not opt out this season.

Miller + WG + Reggie for Iverson works on the trade checker for those who wish to dream (a dream to some, a nightmare to others, I know).

Terrible move in my opinion. Should have dumped that slug first chance he had.

So much for Iguodala signing a 70M offer sheet.

Right now, the GMs in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Golden State, and Philly are calling each other and popping open bottles of champagne.

Josh Smith probably wants to cry since he thinking he was going to be offered 5 years/$65MIL by either the Sixers, Warriors, or Clippers and now he has to go crawling back to Atlanta and hope he gets something above the 5 years/$45MIL they offered him before.

He should just accept the qualifying offer and become unrestricted next summer. Signing now to secure a long-term contract at this point with no leverage wouldn't be advantageous.

I'm not really an advocate of bringing AI back either, but I could live with that. We get away from Green's contract. Miller may not want to be here, so we don't lose much by letting him go. We lose Evans, but that opens up more times at the 4 for Speights/Smith.

Iverson/Williams
Iguodala
Young
Brand/Smith
Dalembert/Speights

We'd just have to sign a few FA's and could be the top team in the league(it's possible).

From the Clipper board:

Camby is 6'11 and a perfect fit at PF/C next to Kaman especially when we vs Gasol/Bynum
Kudos to the Clippers FO. Elton who?

Couldn't agree more.
