after tonight win or lose I don't know how Joe Torre is not put under a microscope, he looks like he has lost it and can't no one tell me making starting pitchers in 8 - 1 games leave in the 5th or 6th inning has nothing to do w/ it.

Can we all agree Torre is doing a bad job as Yankees coach

This is what we've been saying at Joe..

It's to the point where I honestly don't want to watch games anymore if I have to see every reliever on our roster in every single game. It's so assinine. This isn't October Joe, it's April. I just don't get so many of the moves this guy makes.

I been off the Torre bandwagon since the 05 playoffs against L.A. when he started Bubba Crosby in game 5 of the ALDS and had to play it in L.A. because stupid Torre phoned it in on the last game of the year. :banghead:

Honestly, Torre's always been this bad, only he had a team winning championships regularly for the first half of his Yankee stint. More than any other major sport, bad baseball managers can hide behind talented squads. Look for more people to start calling for Ozzie Guillen's head when the White Sox finish in 4th place in the Central this year.

Boston is so damn desperate. They are giving dice K a standing ovation for what? Giving up 5 runs on 8 hits... LOL.. if not for having to unfairly start Double A pitchers, he would be leaving with a Loss...

they should be giving Francona the standing O' because we know Joe wouldn't let our SP go pass the 5th if they allowed 4 Es :nonono:

Son of a... Okajima again? I thought we were going to get a chance to peg somebody like JC Romero around.

Maybe since he is a lame duck he just doesn't care as much. Whatever it is, it doesn't change the fact that I'm a 19 year old student who has never played baseball above the little league level and I could honestly manage that bullpen.

I heard an interview Torre did after the infamous "bloody sock" game of 04'. He was asked why the Yanks weren't bunting or stealing on Schilling. He replied by saying he lets the players decide what to do on their own. What kind of a manager is that. Everyone knew what they should've been doing in that game and Torre should've been a manager, taken the initiative, and MANAGED.

But that's the past...

Is Boston the only place where you get a standing ovation for pitching like crap?

Dear God Melky, get it done here and I promise to make sweet, subtle, innocent love to you. I don't want to hear a week of "OMGZ RED SOX SWEEP".
