Orl/Hou?

Post#1 » by OrlandoMagic » Wed Jul 16, 2008 4:49 am

Hey I know Hoopsworld is NOT the best source, but I ran into a small piece that included Houston. Not to much to sum but pretty much says a trade could be in store for the Rockets. They think Joey Dorsey could be involved plus either Luther Head or Steve Novak. Sorry if it has been posted or not. Just putting the pieces together it sounds like it "could" be us. We are looking for a PG (Head) as well as another big body (Dorsey), which was stated that Otis was possibly targeting in the 2nd rd.

I know its probably not to realistic for us, but what is everyones thoughts about possibly Head as a PG for us?

But would you take Dorsey if Head had to be included?

Also why wait till Thief sees this? I figured it might get locked and thrown into another thread. I just knew some people would over look ideas... Thats the only thing I hate about having an "All Trade Thread" or "All Off Seaon Threads" alot of opinions get overlooked. And when a poster does make a post and wants to find out if people have replied to it they have to scroll through looking for their original post.... Which in case I have done many times, and it gets frustrating. I cant remember what page of every topic I have posted an opinion on.

head sucks... really... no balls.

He has like a 15% FG in the playoffs and in the season all he is good for is a couple of 3's and TO's.

Don't think it is us - an updated story on Hoopsworld states that the Rockets are looking for a center in return for Dorsey and Novak. The only person who fits that bill in Orlando is Gortat, who's salary would match Novak's. Can't see it happening.

I kinda feel the same way. To me it'd be a little more manageable to have sub-forums "All Trade Sub-Forum", "Offseason Sub-Forum". That way the main page is readable, then the sub-forums would contain the individual threads broken down by specific subject matter (whether it'd be a trade idea, rumor, FA signing, etc...). To me that'd seem easier than reading through a 78 page off-season thread. Maybe it's just me...

well it's tough when you have users that create 2+ trade threads a day, everyday and then you have users from other forums just randomly dropping a trade threads all over the place, it clutters things up...it's a thankless job...

My post was certainly no gripe, just one user's perspective. I see the merit in centralizing all posts in one overarching thread. In the same way I'd prefer to read & comment on specific subjects, I'm sure there are people who would rather read ALL news in one thread rather than having to click on multiple threads in a sub-forum.

Ignoring the fact that they refer to Dorsey as a guard, this might explain his no-show in the Summer League.

While he still has not signed a rookie contract, Joey Dorsey and the Houston Rockets reached an agreement on an insurance policy which will allow the ex-Memphis guard to participate in the summer league, the Houston Chronicle is reporting.

Dorsey was forced to sit the first game because he was not covered.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."
