Lue a Buck! Plan D,E,& F?
Lue went for the money and just notified the suns he is goign to sing with the Mil Bucks.
Whats next?
Dragic? Not that exciting to me. Dooling, too expensive and not a true PG.
That leaves Livingston. A HUGE risk that I am in favor of. Take a risk and see if he came come back and show if he still has it.
I think we are in that mode of taking more of an risk with this team.
Or.
Marbury.............if he is released and agrees to play backup PG to Nash for 15-20 mins a game and start 10-12 games this year. I think he goes somewhere else for more mins, or a starting role.

Carlos Arroyo, Jason Williams, Shawn Livingston, Keyon Dooling, or wait for Summer League to be over and having a good assessment of everything available for grabs try to take someone from there; and hopefully some veteran PGs will still be available through the FA.

If we can't get Dragic over here, then i guess I'm hoping for Livingston.

Come on guys. Lue is a mediocre player. We didn't need him, especially if Dragic is coming over this year.

Beno re-signed with Sac already.
I think bringing Dragic in right now is important. He needs to be on the bench regardless who else we sign. Arroyo, Livingston, and Williams seem to be the only options left unless Marbury gets waived. I personally would want them in this order: 1.Livingston, 2. Marbury, 3. Williams, 4. Arroyo.

livingston is a high risk high reward and i would love to get him
marbury like him or not would be a fantastic backup option also
what about a trade for a PG?

I'm starting to think that players have figured out that by saying PHX is interested in them they can up their stock.

Re: Lue a Buck! Plan D,E,& F?
I personally never liked the idea of Lue. I think he stinks, and am happy he is not coming.
I would not mind that trade. If Dragic comes, he will be 3rd string PG, not backup. I am still not high on him. I forgot about Arroyo, but I do not like his ego.
Livingston has not been cleared to practice as of yet, so it is a huge risk. He has tendonitis in his knee.
I am still pulling for Livingston because of the risk and reward involved. Marbury would be nice too. J-Will be find too. I think these names are better than the ones they have been looking at.

Re: Lue a Buck! Plan D,E,& F?
What the Buck?(sorry, it had to be done)
I don't think Lue stinks. He's not terribly exciting, but he has an okay A:T ratio and he doesn't jack up shots like crazy. Not bad for a roleplayer....
Anyways, my list:
1. Almost Healthy Livingston(basically, not the cripple that he seems to be right now)
2. Marbury
3. White Chocolate
4. Jared Jordan
And bringing Goran over is mandatory IMO.

Re: Lue a Buck! Plan D,E,& F?
ahhhhh tinsley? nah, I take DJ.
So lets say Livingston comes back, and is strong. Do you let him walk after a year b/c of money and b/c you are banking on Dragic????????
I say Hell NO. I sign Livingston to a MLE, with an Team ETO just in case he gets hurt, and bring Dragic along when Nash is done. I would also sign him to a 2 year contract with a TO, pick up that option and sign him to a long term if it works out, so the suns do not have to pay the lux tax.

im with you ESC, even with banks memories fresh in my head, im still willing to throw a 4-5 year contract at livingston for as little as possible, giving him security, us security and going for it and putting the faith in our medical staff

Re: Lue a Buck! Plan D,E,& F?
East, you seem to be really down on Dragic. I think he will turn out to be solid, but i like your approach of not having very high expectations. I doubt he will ever get the same recognition Nash did, because hes a successor to a hall of fame PG, but he will be a Calderon type player with much more athleticism and defence. If he pans out the way we want, and he will under Nash (atleast if he comes over this year or if we sign Nash as a shooting/personnel coach), then he will be just fine. He would be like a 14pts 9 ast 2stl guy who can play both gaurd positions. But i agree, he must be brought over this year and had as our 3rd string for one year.
But for plan D E F, my list goes like this if livingston is healthy and can play basketball without the 8 hour therapy after every game he's said to have needed couple months back.
1) Livingston
2) Williams
3) Marbury
4) Arroyo
I would rather we not sign Arroyo or Marbury, both locker room cancers. Williams would be my number one option if Livingston wasn't healthy. If we were going to bring Dragic over to backup and not 3rd string, i say Darrel Armstrong for 3rd string. Solid vet who can play defence, and teach it to Dragic, cause Nash certianly cant do that. More importantly, im not at all opposed to a Crittenton, Lowry or Tinsley trade. All three are being shopped and if either team is ready to let go of them for Diaw or Barbs, im all for it.

Would that work? gets us 2 PGS, but Crittenton would play SG for us. I think the Suns would need to give up a future 2nd rounder (2009) to memphis as a sweetner...
Nash/Tinsley/Crittenton
Bell/Barbs/Crittenton
Hill/Giriceck?
Stoudemire/Warrick
Shaq/Lopez
Only place we'd be weak is the 3.. i can think of 2 guys that can help. Giriceck and Ricky Davis.. (i know, LOL.. cant believe i said Davis, but it had to be done).
