Randolph Morris - Kind of hard to judge from his body of work at the NBA level because it is so small. Kind of worries me though that in his limited minutes that he shot like 34% from the field. You kind of expect a 6'11" guy to shoot a higher percentage, but those figures back up your evaluation. He seems like too much of a project to me to contribute anything of value. Given the veteran minimum salary rules (the league subsidizes minimum salary vets so they actually cost the team the same as a 2nd year free agent in reality), I would think we get more bang for the buck from Malik Allen or Aaron Williams even though they are shorter.

People around here tend to like players w/ GA connections. Probably a disproportionate amount of Lou Williams and JJack fans for that reason.

I think that things being this tight give us two choices, 1. re-sign Josh and Josh, and fill-out the roster with scrubs (probably not even a full 15)
OR
Trade Childress for a pick and/or cheaper bench players. A guard and a big man would be ideal, but who knows?
Trading Childress for (hopefully) less expensive players would allow us to sign Kwame as a backup defensive big (with no pressure), and possibly bring in another vet at the minimum, as well as signing whoever looks best out of summer camp.
I think that this means Childress is gone... not sure where (yet), but who has exceptions? Who has non-guaranteed contracts? These are teams the Hawks will look to for trade options.
And I am squarely in the camp that thinks there is no chance we go into the tax.

Scratch Malik Allen from the possible minimum contract target list as he's been inked by the Bucks. Good signing for them as they definitely needed some bulk and toughness down low.
