Definitely gotta give it Camby for the work he did in the community.
On the court, he was a big part of bringing this franchise back to respectibilty, and while i think it was a good time to part ways, gotta appreciate what he did while he was here.
Best of luck to him with the Clips.

Camby will always be one of my favorite Nuggets, and I have many great memories of his time here. He will be missed, buy maybe it was just time to move on, I suppose.

I'll miss Camby, it sucks that he never achieved his true potential because of his junk yard parts body. An extremely poor man's KG, he played hard about 95% of the time, which is better than a majority of the league. I liked the guy a lot, and I even named a pet after him. I wish him well during the twilight of his career.

He is a classy guy on and off of the court, and he was one of the first pieces that helped to put this organization back on the winning side of things. Not only that, but he was the only guy that we had last season that could run the fast break.
He did a lot of good things on the court and some not so good IMO. One thing that he didn't do much when it was needed was finish at the basket with a dunk, but I bet he will learn how to do that when the Clippers play us this coming season. His time had come to move on and I think we could have gotten something more from the Clippers had we held out for a few more days. I wish him nothing but success on and off of the court.

Re: MC Appreciation Thread
I'm glad to see that this thread has been started. Ever since Camby won DPOY it's been trendy to criticize what he doesn't do defensively. While people like to talk about how KMart and Nene are better defenders, Camby of all people actually played in most games. Many people justify the move by pointing to how much is being saved financially but the FO is the one that screwed this team by handing out ridiculous contracts and then trading for AIs big contract. If they weren't committed to winning with a huge payroll, they shouldn't have made the trade. It's like they were suddenly shocked to find out they had one of the largest payrolls in the league. The Nuggets won 50 games last year and still had to play the top seeded Lakers in the first round. This is a team that could have made a push to win the division this year. Unfortunately, we don't have much of a chance now. It'll be interesting to see how things work out with the Clippers. I hope he's successful and I wish him the best. He certainly deserves to be in a better situation than this dysfunctional franchise.
When Vinny Del Negro sends in his taxes, he sends blank forms and includes only a picture of himself, crouched and ready to attack. Vinny Del Negro has not had to pay taxes ever.

^^^ You could be right, and at times I feel that way. But, I think the owner and FO took a gamble to try and win it all with the AI trade, which hasn't worked out the way they wanted it to. Now they are trying to clean things up and reload when they feel that the opportunity will present itself again. Is this the wrong approach? Yes, it probably is, but it seems to me that this is the approach that they are taking.
As far as Camby goes, I remember when he first signed his new deal with us. At the time he took less and let the Nuggets Brass restructure it (front loaded and with incentives). Phoenix was interested in him at the time, but he stayed loyal to this team and resigned with us on the first day players could sign. We sure didn't return the gesture and show him the door in a nice manner from the reports I am seeing.
