Kings are crazy if they do this Artest trade.

It should be
Artest + Thomas for Stack + Bass + S&T George (for only 1 guarenteed year)
Sac gets expirings for Thomas & gets a good young prospect in Bass.

No one is taking back KT's contract in an Artest deal AND giving up talent for him.
BTW, wiretap reports the Mavs turned down Artest for Howard. So much for that.
+1 on Howard. In no way, whatsoever, should Howard be in any Artest trade.
But as for Kenny, I would disagree to some extent. I can see the Mavs doing this:
The Animal ($826,269)
Stackhouse ($7 mil this year + $2 mil next year)
Jones (1,976,400 expiring)
George S&T at 2.9 mil, 1 yr guaranteed
gets within the 125% +100K rule for Artest and Kenny
Or take Jones out and make George $4.9 mil, but I think it would be better for both teams to keep Jones in as Dallas saves some money and Kings can easily buy out Jones who is looking to retire.

Howard doesn't make much sense for the Kings... he has a multi-year contract, relatively the same age as Artest (just less years in league), and would only continue the iffy minutes situation on the wings for Sac relating to Garcia/Salmons/Douby.
The Playoffs don't care about your Analytics

Has anyone considered that maybe one reason for the Odom rumor (I have a hard time believing anything the media reports anymore but I'll play along) was that the Kings already have a 15 man roster and that doing a 2 for 1 means they wouldn't have to cut anyone they already have under contract?
If there's any truth to that (and I'm just throwing it out there) then any of the Dallas deals would be a probable no since the Kings would be doing a 4 for 2.

Dallas just doesn't have the pieces to land Artest. Now that Harris is gone I don't see the Kings having any interest in anybody else on Dallas. It would have to be a 3 way.

LOL! In no way will the kings get a Harris caliber player for Artest no matter how many teams are involved.
