Oklahoma City Thunder?

If it's true, then I'm a bit disappointed. Sounds like the name of a JV team or something.

Agree, I thought "Baron's" or "Sooner's" would have been more original and professional.

Not the worst name I've heard, but there were still better suggestions.

^^exactly, lol
But seriously, names like these for NBA teams are annoying to me. I wish they sounded more professional and more "Big league".

With the frequency that some NBAers hit the police blotters, that probably wouldn't have been a good name, sort of like the Washington Bullets ended up changing theirs, DC being as crime ridden as it is.

OKC Plunders
transitive verb1 a: to take the goods of by force (as in war) : pillage, sack <invaders plundered the town> b: to take by force or wrongfully : steal, loot <plundered artifacts from the tomb>2: to make extensive use of as if by plundering : use or use up wrongfully <plunder the land>
Wow...it's a perfect substitute. Going along with Tragic, Fakers, Queens, Slippers, Jail Blazers.....etc

Why should you be disappointed unless your an OKC fan? Who cares what they call their team. It doesn't matter what they name the team, there is always going to be people who won't like it.

I'm disappointed because I thought there were better options out there, in my opinion. I'd hoped for the sake of the league it would be a better name.

Of course, you can't expect everyone to like it.

How about the Stealers?
Anyway ... from a marketing standpoint, it's a huge blow to the Quad City Thunder.

QFT
Barons or Outlaws would've been way better.
