Michael Bush Working Out again.
I would love to skip over Lynch and take Bush in the second. A broken leg is not a lingering injury, and you just don't see his mix of size and speed, like, ever. Almost like a faster Brandon Jacobs. Use the first round pick on Reggie Nelson or Darelle Revis (you never know when Woodson could go down).

Personally, I see a team moving up in the second to get him.
kinda like when Buf got McGhee...and his injury was much more serious.
I can't wait for this weekend!!!
I already told the girlfriend to make some plans. I won't be available on Saturday, or Sunday.

Good man.
Bush has never been a guy that'd I've been particularly high on. He looks like a rich man's Najeh Davenport (which I admit wouldn't be such a bad thing).

And no matter what you want to say, an iron rod in your leg is never going to be as good as a leg void of metal.
Bush actually is a good fit for the ZBS. The zone blocking scheme is exactly what Louisville ran and Bush excelled in it.
But I also agree with your second statement. Like you said, it wasnt just a simple break that healed, it required surgery and an iron rod to be placed in the leg. And an iron rod in the leg is somewhat worrying in the long run.

Isn't he more of a "down hill runner" though? DrugBust's comparison to a "rich-man's" Najeh Davenport is what I always viewed Bush as...and I certainly wouldn't want THAT in our current scheme.

Of course, if we're just looking for a guy to split time with Morencey, he could be a good compliment. I STILL would be highly wary about that iron rod of his, though.

Jamal Lewis ran 4.3's at Tennessee after a serious knee injury. He was a burner and a physical freak.
Michael Bush could only dream of being that fast.
True, but I can't think of a better comparison in recent memory.
Might want to look at this. Says Lewis timed at 4.58.

Don't know where they're getting their numbers.
"Tennessee RB Jamal Lewis ran a draw dropping 4.37 in the 40 yard dash. Lewis later said, "I just wanted to run like a 4.38 or a 4.39. A lot of teams thought I was running like a 4.5 or 4.6, so I just had to prove them wrong."
or
"But his stock rose markedly prior to the 2000 draft when he had 40-yard dash times of 4.3 and 4.4 in a workout at Tennessee. He later posted a 4.48 for Ravens scouts to solidify his status as a first-round pick."
here's a JSONLINE link...
Lewis, 5-11 and 231 pounds, left after his junior season and wowed scouts during a recent workout when he was timed at 4.3 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
And again, this is a year after a serious knee injury.
You don't run for 2000 yards in an NFL season without being extremely special. Lewis was as elite as they come prior to more injuries and jail time took their tole.
