Ben Wallace, Wally Sczerbiak, Anderson Varejao, Damon Jones and a future second for
Zach Randolph, Renaldo Balkman, Jerome James, David Lee, and Jamaal Crawford.

Why for Cavs?;
Get rid of 2 bad contracts in Ben and Wally, a redundant DJ and also the clog at the PF position by loosing AV. Price? loosing a future 2nd and taking on a fat Zach Randolph's contract. But I say its worth it. A line up of West/Crawford/James/Randolph/Z is pretty good offensively, and on defence we could get in Pavs and David Lee when we need solid defence. Oh and the offensive load on LeBron? All gone. We also get a energy backup for Lebron in Balkman, and can buy out Jerome James to cut about 6mil off our salary cap NOW.

Why for Knicks?:
Gets rid of a useless Zach Randolph (can he run ? doesnt fit Mike D's system, AT ALL). Take on Ben Wallace, who gets off 1 year earlier, in time for the "LeBron Sweepstakes" Also get a shooter for the Run&Gun system in Wally, who expires after this year, along with a hard working defensive bigman in AV and the 3rd string combo gaurd DJ who would be perfect for the system backing up anyone at the 2 or 1 position. Thats also almost 20million coming off the books next year (13 + 5+4 ) from just our expirings. Not bad at all, especially when the cost is only loosing David Lee and Renaldo Balkman and taking on Ben Wallace's contract, which is HELPFUL to the knicks for the 2010 plan.

there are a lot of ver good players that are free agents in 2009 (including Kobe, Marion, Hamilton, Boozer)

The Knicks have activly been trying to move Randolph and they were unable to trade him even to a team that was desperate for someone to play the position (Clippers). Heck even the Clippers wanted picks and money to take Randolph off of ftheir hands.

Yeah, having Jefferson in their lineup will certainly help them push toward the playoffs, but even if they get in, they are not getting past the first round.

Well, you kind of answered your own question. The Redd rumors have ceased because the Bucks are thinking/hoping they can make a run at a playoff spot. Hopefully come January or February, they will be far away from a playoff spot and looking to rid themselves of Redd. I think there's a pretty good chance they'll be far from the playoffs (I think there's 2 spots in the East open between Wizards, Heat, Hawks, Bulls, Bobcats, Bucks - if Milwaukee has a key player injured, or just don't play well, I don't think they'll have a very good season at all in the more improved East).
