Did anyone watch Barnes and the Warriors destroy the Mavs? The dude was clutch and he can shoot the 3. For the Suns that's 'nuff said'.

That's a great addition for the price. Adds depth that the Suns sorely lacked.

Chris Mullin, wtf? Baron, Pietrus, Azubuike, and now Barnes for Maggette and Turiaf. Great off season for Golden State. :lol:

Great move for the Suns. He is a good defender and can get hot from outside. He'll add some much needed depth...

The Warriors are headed back to the basement. At least tickets will get cheap again.

Pretty good addition for Phoenix... especially if he can play like he did in 06-07 (dropped off last season), he'll bring a bit of multiple things off the bench, and good size on the wings.

I don't get why this guy doesn't get any love from any teams. I think he's a pretty solid role player. As someone said, he was one of the key players during the Mavs vs. Warriors playoff series. He seems to have a nice overall game, but no one wants to sign him for anything decent.

Finally a good move by Kerr. Barnes had a bad season last year largely driven by the death of his mother and free agency disaster the preceding summer. He can play the 2, 3, and 4 although his natural position is the 3. Also, he was one of the most athletic players on the Warriors - he'll fit in great with the Suns and allow Hill to play less minutes.

I kinda mad the Mavs didn't go after him...he would have fit in well with Jason Kidd and the other guys on the team...he could have been our SG, I think he will do well on the Suns I'm just happy he didn't sign with the Hornets or Spurs.

The Suns just got a steal. THere's really no other way to put it. Barnes' market value should be along the $3.5M - $4M mark. So getting him for the minimum is a freaking steal.

agreed, he isnt a superstar, but for the minimum in the current NBA climat we got a steal

he will fill the giricek role nicely

He's not the missing piece by any means, but definitely brings some toughness, hustle and shooting we've been lacking.

Next step, re-sign Skinner and get a friggin backup vet PG

for that price, amazing... Hill for a million, Barnes for a million... geez.

Just makes all other sub-mediocre players with big contracts amazingly ridiculous....

There's not much not to like about this signing for the Suns. For the min? Wow. Great value right there for a guy who should be able to play a sizable role.
