Because swift when given minutes can produce as much as they do. I'm not a big fan of swift and I do prefer that the other bigs get more playing time, but no way is he as bad as Ager who is arguably the worst player in the NBA.

When is the roster cutoff for these video games. Any team that makes a late offseason move never gets that guy onto their team in either game. I'll be annoyed if we make a move after that date. Especially if it's a good one lol.

I believe its the beginning of October, its just a few weeks before the season starts.

The cutoff date has always been August 2nd for the 2K series but usally an update comes out a week after the release of the game

That's right, in case you're not aware, NBA Live 09 will update each day and reflect the tendencies and ratings by the result of the previous nights game. This includes rosters, but goes far beyond that. Don't worry, if you don't like the adjusted tendencies/ratings, you can turn the feature off and still have up-to-date rosters.

this is a big reason im considering buying live this year instead of 2k9 but if the gameplay is still arcade like and you can dunk with anyone im off to 2k again

^^^ I never cared about the dunking part of it. What I hated is that every PG you play against is like a damn all star. I remember having NBA Live 04 and I would shut down every teams best player...but their PG, and the BIG one that comes to mind is Eric Snow, would always drop like 38 points on me on like 15-18 shooting. I'd want to punch a baby if I lost.
