Graig Smith and Josh Boone are not in the same league as May and I want no part of Charlie V, his defense is beyond attrosious. You say Sean May has been injured his entire career, he has only been in the league 2 years...alot of players have had injuries in consecutive years, a certain pacers forward comes to mind...
You have to remember we dont have much to give, what ever the guy he is going to have his knocks on him. i would much rather have a guy with actaully talent that has been hurt over the past 2 years then a guy with an attitude problem (Charlie V) or some guy that can hardly crack the Timberwolves rotation (Graig Smith).
BTW Sean May was working out in Utah and their doctors gave him a clear bill of health and said he was in great shape, thought you might want to know some facts about something before you shoot it down and buy a Graig Smith jersey.

Hmmm...okay. First off, its Craig Smith, not Graig. He may not be anything to write home about, but lets at least get his name right.
Villanueva's defense isnt very good, youre right, but he has been productive in the past. He has certainly accomplished more than Sean May has.
I just dont like the idea of trading for a guy who cant stay healthy. Its been kind of a debilitating theme for us the past few years, and I'm not too anxious to go out and trade for more guys who cant stay on the court. I'd take a less talented guy who will play 75 games over a more talented guy who might play 60. I couldnt care less if doctors gave him a clear bill of health. Its been nearly a year since his injury, so he had better be healthy.

My bad on spelling his name, never the less if we pick up Graig Smith he will have little to no impact on the team. We are not talking about getting a franchise player we are talking about getting a solid role player with some upside. Almost everyone on here is all for Carl Landry but he missed half of last season with injuries, you are being way to hard on Sean May. Yes he has been hurt but how else are you going to get a player that puts up 18+ points 12+ reb per 35 mintues? We are not getting Charlie V for a package of scrubs, we might have a shot to get May, thats all im saying.

getting ripped by home fans isn't the end of the world and it certainly doesn't mean you idea lacked merit. as for this idea, Charlotte only is set at the wing if you think Morrison isn't a bust. Charlotte still has cap room too. they can take him and send back nothing but money or a conditional draft pick if the checker is right. trouble is it looks like they may have traded their 2009 picks already.

I hear what you are saying wiz, good words. I was just floored when I gave them what I thought to be a high ball offer for an average at best PG, and they threw it back in my face while spitting at me bringing up Granger's name. I didn't get it, they ripped Felton all year, and when I offer a very good SF, and a center who can rebound, which they desperately need for a PG whose heir apparent has been drafted they laughed in my face.

Getting May is not that big of risk because he is not making alot of money -has short term contract and fills a NEED. Williams would be fighting for minutes anyway so there os no loss to this deal. (could be best time to get May will his value is not known -could up a steal)

I am not against us getting Sean May. I think when healthy, he is a pretty solid player. The problem: Charlotte isnt going to just give him away. If they accepted a crappy offer, then sign me up for Sean May. I just dont see what we could realistically give up that they would realistically take. We arent trading core players, I doubt Charlotte has much interest in Tinsley or Williams, and I'm not sure Bird has the cajoles to trade a first round pick away to get someone who has been hurt as much as May. The Bobcats dont exactly have a wealth of live bodies in their frontcourt, and especially considering the uncertainty surrounding Okafor's return...I just cant see them trading May unless someone offers them something very nice.
