I completely agree with Vator. Expecting a completely "reformed" Donte Greene in his 1st summer league is unrealistic. However, he has shown all i was looking for from him, potential. He has shown his ability to be able to be an elite scorer. Thats all I needed to know. Of course he has not been the model of consistency, but he's an uncoached 19 year old rookie, what do you expect? He'll mature later on down the line. My guess is 2 or 3 years. By the time Tracy is ready to move on, I think he'll have groomed a very fine replacement. The Rockets are simply making an atonement for Rudy Gay.

Good to see that he's T-Macin it...
Not really surprising form a Syracuse product. Fast tempo, quick transition buckets, 3-ball...
Trade this chucker along with McGrady to Atlanta.

Oh no...22 points on 9-16 and he only took 3 three pointers. 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 assist, and 1 block. I'm with TMU, trade him. When I was 19, I would have had a triple double against these scrubs.

Haha you brag about that? I mean, maybe you could look at that as an accomplishment.. I guess.. but I would have had a double triple with 168 points on 77% shooting with 40 assists and 103 rebounds, so... If you don't believe it I have the NBA Live replay.
Morey 2020.

Not only that, I think right now he feels as if he is the go to guy on the team as far as scoring is concerned which is the same way he felt @ syracuse(even though I really dont know why when johnny flynn can score also.) A couple of scouts said they believe that once greene didn't feel like he was the go to option that he thinks he could be a good role player and potentially be a 2nd or 1st option. With mac and yao out there I hope he knows that we need him to: 1) hit open shots(which I'm 99.9% sure he can do with ease and 2) get to the hoop and draw fouls. If he plays to his potential and doesn't force shots this guy can address two of our biggest needs, a slasher, a guy who can get to the line and a guy who can hit open 3's. Now on the contrary, he could be one of those above average athletes who decides that because he can hit 3's he's going to sit on the perimeter and chuck up shots all day.

Rashard Lewis?

Rashard Lewis?
Thats probably the best case scenario. A lot of people say rudy gay but I think people forget donte is 6'10. Only problem is I don't think he plays as big as rashard and you know how this new crop of talent is. "Look like a pf, play like a sg"(anthony randolph anyone?). Either way I think with the pick that we had he was well worth it. I just wish we would have been able to get darell arthur

He's really not that good, guys. I saw him shoot a three the other day, and he didn't even make it.

Regardless, that's why there is coaching. If the season comes and he plays like that, you won't see him much on the court. If he pouts and whines, we'll ship him off like VSpan. I could care less if he plays or not this season b/c I think we have the pieces to go deep without him. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO START!!!!

And don't forget, the guy is only 19. Let's not get too excited if his numbers are horrible after his rookie year. It normally takes young guys a couple of years to really catch on.

Since he's not Lebron, I say we trade him for Lebron!
