Really? I don't remember that at all.

Anyway, yeah -- this was hilarious. Dorsey pretty much won the game for us, because instead of having to go for an unlikely 3pt make, we only had to hit a 2pt shot. The game went to overtime and the Wizards won it. Thank you Joey!

It was at the end of last season wasnt it? I dont think that he was ejected for wearing street clothes though. I believe he wasn't dressed in accordance with the dress code of the NBA and was asked to change his outfit; instead he decided to leave.

I still think that Dorsey is very promosing and even though he cost his team the game, i'd rather have a guy on the bench who is fired up and passionate then a hump.

lmfao.

i remember that.

it was in a game against us in t-mac's last season with the magic.

arenas was listed as unavailable to play or something, but still decided to sit on the bench with a jersey on over his street clothes.

It wasent last minute like the Dorsey's one though...

no, but iirc, arenas did manage to get one of his techs before the game had even started.

compared to dorsey's brainfart, arenas' tech actually took some talent.

Good memory re: Gil's ejection. I was actually at that game but didn't remember the details, at all.

Since it was almost 5 years ago, I couldn't find a full length article but did find a link to an archived write up here:

Wayne was obviously talking about this guy. I don't care much for Dorsey. He isn't better than Chuck Hayes so what is the point of the Rockets keeping this tard?

The Rockets NEED a goon. So yay for Joey. He's filling a need.

Right now, the closest thing the team has to an enforcer is Rafer Alston. And no offense to Skip's fans, but he's not the most imposing physical presence. Joey Dorsey, on the other hand...

Hide and watch. Because of Joey's presence, teams are going to be notably less physical with Yao next season. And I won't blame them. He's intimidating. When Dorsey was drafted, he was asked by the Chronicle to sum up his own game. His curt answer was telling:

"Ray Lewis with a basketball."
