Okafor Ready to Leave Charlotte

I know we need a big, and I would love to have him, but I don't know exactly how we would go about acquiring him in a sign and trade (even if we somehow fail to re-sign Smoove). Any ideas?

The thing is, IMO, is that we already have our "starting" bigs in Horford and Smith. We just need some good back-up centers. If we get Okafor, does that mean we let Smith go, because he isn't playing the SF. We can't have Okafor, Smith, and Horford.

That's actually my thinking as well. I wouldn't mind having Okafur in a three man rotation with Smoove and Hortford (who wouldn't?), but I don't know if we would still be able to have a balanced team, or what we could move to make the trade and have it make sense for both teams. Since Okafer is somewhat of a hot topic around the league, I wanted to float the topic here to see if anyone had any ideas. It'd be a tough one to sell though.

I agree it would take Smith in a two team trade. I don't know if someone could come up with a three team trade where we send a different piece that is a big need for another team.

I don't we could give up enough talent wise to bring back Okafor if we are keeping Smith, Horford, and JJ.
