Marcus Williams to Golden State

Post#1 » by Hydroponic3385 » Tue Jul 22, 2008 7:23 pm

New Jersey has traded Marcus Williams to Golden State for a future 1st round draft pick. I'm assuming this is good news for us, because I don't see Golden State going after Delonte anymore. No one else can afford more than the MLE now, right?

I had hoped williams was going to somehow end up here. But in regard to Delonte I believe you are right.

The Nets won't be giving the Cavs anything before 2010, unless they believe it'd totally screw us over. Plus, I'm not all that convinced on Williams. I know Delonte is a good fit for us, especially if we eventually get a legit SG in the near future. Williams, not so sure of yet.

According to some things I have read from Net fans, it seems that Williams is a perfect fit on Golden State given that he doesn't play much defense.

What little leverage Delonte had is pretty much gone.
