Quoted for truth :D

I can see Rashad starting, he was pretty solid for most of the year.

McCants may start a few, but if Gomes is brought back I would not be suprised to see the very slow, but strong lineup of Foye, Miller, Gomes, Jefferson, Love once the season gets going.

McCants may get some early run just to increase his trading value.....

Opening day line-up will probably not have Love (a rookie) starting though and Collins may or Jefferson at the five and Foye, McCants, Miller, Gomes, Jefferson, though that is less likely in my mind.

KFAN played a snippet from Gomes on the radio today, he mentioned that with Bassy signed now, he really wants a deal to get done soon. He's letting his agent handle the contract negotiations, but he's saying he wants to be here, which is pleasant.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

If Gomes does come back, we might have some unhappy campers. I'd think that all of the following would want minutes: Foye, Telfair, Miller, McCants, Carney, Gomes, Brewer, Smith, Love, Jefferson and Collins. That's 11. The two that you could argue haven't earned being part of the rotation are Collins and Carney. Carney WILL have to earn his minutes, but Collins will play. Neither Love or Smith can play back up center (or they shouldn't at least), so Collins gets minutes. I would love to trade a swingman for a backup center (Sean Williams please).

From the Pioneer Press:

"Sebastian's intention from Day One was to be back with the Timberwolves," Miller said. "He feels that they've given him a second chance and he wants to repay them by developing under their tutelage."

This is Awesome! I'm so glad for you guys and Bassy. He's finally starting to develop! I was so scared that he was a gonner and will be in Europe next year...

Yall are starting to have a really nice young core. i think foye will start at pg to start off ya'alls season, but i can see him switching to the 2 guard to be more of a scorer because telfair is a pure pg which has a pretty good assist to TO ratio

Telfair/Foye/ McCants
Foye/ McCants
Miller/ Brewer
Love/ Smith
Jefferson/Collins

I think yall will run with Jefferson at C b/c he's stronger and more athletic than love... or will yall run with Love at C? or it depends on the match up?

Good luck to ya guys next year!

well, Al will be the primary low post option and Love will spend a lot of time in the high post and a little in the low post. Defensively the will be based on match-ups. Al will draw the other team's best post defender and Love will be guarded by the other guy. I don't think that either one is necessarily PF or C, but I'd say Al will play more center-esque than Love.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Hmmm...looks like a three year deal with a player option after the second year. Interesting...it has to be for no more than 2-3m/year, right?

He's our third best offensive player behind Al and Miller, and our second best at creating his own shot.(You can argue that Miller is second best at that)

McCants was the second best offensive player lightyears last season and didn't start.

I'm not happy about the third year. That contract better be small.
