A. Gordon, 3B
M. Olivo, C
R. Gload, 1B
E. German, 3B
Note: Lineups vary from game-to-game, I will update as soon as possible.
IMO if we can win 3 of these we got the White Sox right after, we could really catch ground, get it to possibly 2-3 games within 1st place, even a tie if the White Sox and Twins for some reason just start losing (highly doubt it).

Wow
What a beating
Matt Joyce and Miggy came to play. And hell, and i never thought i would say this, Zach Miner was damn good.
Now of course we will prolly only score 2 more runs the rest of the series...but a good sign

I think they understand what needs to be done in the next few weeks, I think they'll be ready to play every night, we've been playing with quite some intensity since the 2nd half started, too bad we got big headed against the Orioles.
As for Zach, I'm not surprised he's done it before, the question is as you talked about Joyce, if we grab the lead and KNOW we're making the playoffs, do we ship these young guys (Joyce, Thomas) who have come to play for another pitcher.
I don't want to rely on just Minor and Kenny.

Re: Series 33: Tigers Vs Royals.
With the guys we have in our lineup, we are going to occasionally go off like this.
Not sure if its an indicator of things to come, though. Offense isn't really our issue. Teams win plenty more games than we do scoring fewer runs than this group is capable of.
But hey, its nice to see a good thumping from this group.
Did I mention I hate Edgar Renteria? Anybody know how long we're stuck with this clown for?

^^
We got Renteria for this year with a team option for 2009.
I would have rather kept Jurrjens then this guy, he obviously can't play against real pitchers in the AL, we need to ship him back to the NL and try to get what ever we can for him, he just can't play in the Al.
As for us going off, that's the 3rd time this year we've scored 19 runs, we have yet to actually drop 20 + runs, that's amazing to me.

Re: Series 33: Tigers Vs Royals.
^Yeah, it was obvious from his stint with the Red Sox (horrible), followed by a solid year with the Braves and a **** year with us that the guy is an NL player and can't play here.
His fielding drops off considerably, too, so its not just the pitching thats killing him.
His option won't be picked up. He'll be shopped over the next week or so, either quietly or publically, but unless we can convince an NL team to take him (while agreeing to pay for his buyout next year in the event that he can't pick it up), I don't see him moving.
He will NOT be a Tiger next year (thank the baseball gods). We're saddled with the dead wood that is Dontrelle for a while, though. Ouch.

I still have hope with Dontrelle.
No-hitter through 4 for Gallaraga second time he's done that this year.

I still can't believe those were our first wins against the Royals this season.
