Don't like it one bit. Hope the dollar rebounds and this doesn't become a trend. It's obviously hard enough to snag a young, quality 2 in this league when they become available .

I wonder if the Hawks would be interested in Bogans now. He's inexpensive, in the last year of his deal, plays reasonable defense and can hit the occasional three. I realize that Childress was able to be a true SF, but the Hawks could use Johnson at SF at times and they already have Williams.

Plus, I think they may be under the cap.

Great for me [since I live in Europe] and world basketball.

I am really quite glad some of these second and third tier players are jumping over in what I hope is the "1st wave". Most Americans will never give credit for actually how high a level the play is over in Europe [not England - its awful - and there is reasons for that] and with some NBA players - and not barely 15th spot players - coming over we might start to see a bit more coverage.

Also as a whole it should start to see more connection between US and Europe - we already have these world tours and exibition games - so hopefully with players now starting spread out rather than cave in on the NBA we could have some tournaments [since every other sport does] for club level rather than just international.

Primoz Brezec, Carlos Delfino, Juan Carlos Navarro, Bostjan Nachbar, and now Primoz Brezec.

Have we reached a point where as many NBA players go to FIBA as FIBA players come to the NBA? Looks like it moves towards yes.

I hope we are seeing a trend, because it would be great for basketball and ultimately for the NBA. There are lots of guys who are almost good enough for the NBA or are good enough to ride the bench who could develop into solid players with playing time. If going to Europe is an alternative that every young hopeful looks at, we expand the talent pool. If that makes European teams better, the NBA has competition, and competition leads to improvement.

The D-League is a joke. For it to truly work, each time would need to have it's own team and they'd have to be able to promote and demote any player at any time, until the post season. Even then, Americans wouldn't give the players the atmosphere or the money that they could get in Europe.

Don't disagree.

The Daytona Cubs play a little down the road from me. I don't think the attendance is spectacular, but it's not too bad either. And they've been in Daytona for a while now.

So with the right mix, there might a possibility. But then again, the arena football team just folded in Daytona.

I wonder how hard JJ Redick is thinking about Europe. He could really flourish out there. Although they are moving the 3 point line back so not as much as he could have in the past. He probably could make more money and get playing time overseas. If I was him I would tell Otis trade me or I'm signing overseas.

I think that is really only feasible for pre season, because the NBA season is too long. I actually would prefer a 50 game season.

i could see this becoming a trend for some of the better role players in the league. Not going to affect the stars but make the game worse, going to be nothing but isos and everyone watching.
