Why are those two series never mentioned when talking about some of the greatest playoff series ever? Especially the 1981 series.

What stuck out was that Philly was up 3-1 both times and Boston had the HC. Boston was able to come back from 3-1 to tie the series at 3-3 and then in one of the series they were able to win.

In the first series the Sixers were up 3-1 then lost the next 3 games by 2 points, 2 points, and 1 point. Wow.

Which is why Boston/Philly had a harder road to the finals than the Lakers in the 80's. The Lakers didn't have anyone to challenge them in the West which is why they made the finals 8 times during the 80's. Which should be taken in account when making these comparisons between Bird and Magic.....
