we have a bunch of sf's, and i think it is highly unlikely that mitch lets both ronny and sasha get away

Re: Damn It Mitch! The Suns!
Who cares if we have crap as our backup SFs?
Odom should be the backup PF anyway and even if he plays some SF so be it. Radmanovic was more effective in the past a novelty PF. That leaves Ariza and Walton. Where's this bunch of small forwards?
If Sasha gets a big offer from somewhere maybe even Europe, he's gone it's as simple as that.

i think if sasha was going to get a big offer by someone it would have happened already, unless his switching agents is really slowing things down

Re: Damn It Mitch! The Suns!
That could the case. If we re-sign Sasha for a reasonable price, there's no reason to be disappointed. However I'd still like a decent SF who can play the position well in every way but not exceptional in any (Odom does not apply here) just in case Ariza fails.
Just curious anyone have an idea what Ariza's stats could be if he fixed his 3 point shot just a bit and played 30-35 mpg?

I'm an Ariza supporter...
Ariza best get at least a decent 3PT shot... I want to see him get better and be a quality role-player

The Playoffs don't care about your Analytics

Re: Damn It Mitch! The Suns!
I looked up some statistics from back when Ariza finally got some playing time.
Very good rebounding numbers, solid ability to get to the line, three point shot was ok..., steals were solid, blocks solid, and assists solid. He was pretty capable except never a barn burning offensive threat. Neither is Radmanovic though. I wonder really if the difference between a .330 and .400% 3P shooter is as much as advertised. Sure I mean it's nice when every few games you get one 3 pointer instead of a miss out of 15 shots, but then again when Trevor is shooting that many in maybe three to four games I'm willing to bet that he can get to the line and make that number up in no time at all.
He'll probably get a bucket in transition more than Radmanovic will get every game so he pretty much cancels that part out statistically. It's just the question of whether or not the Celtics would be scared of him shooting the ball. It's not so much about the ability to shoot under pressure at is (although that is a very nice trait Sasha has), but the fact can he shoot a wide open give me and he's ok at that. It can't be that hard for him to become a decent 3 point shooter could it?
I mean Fox wasn't a barn burner either...
