Does anybody do anything about the suggestions we make here?

Post#1 » by Bill Bradley » Sun Jul 20, 2008 6:44 pm

I ask because there are numerous threads on this board where people bring up major problems on this site since the upgrade and nothing is done about them. In some cases, administrators respond once or twice and then we hear nothing after that? Is anybody working on this site? There are still a number of problems that need fixing.

i wanna know what happened to the old threads!
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

They were taken offline and will eventually be reintroduced in a read-only archive.

Of course they are. They have lives too though. At least, I would guess they do.

You did see Quick Reply make a comeback when people started suggesting it does. Right?

Change doesn't happen overnight, it's a gradual process....

Yes, some things were fixed in the immediate aftermath of the upgrade.

But since then, little to nothing has been fixed and there are still a lot of problems. I was just wondering if anybody was actually working on them. I think it's a legitimate question as a user of the site.

There have been many things fixed since teh switch. Most were done because of user feedback. Here's a list of some of the fixed bugs since the switch.

* Quick Reply
* Background colors
* Quotes
* Font colors
* Mod Private messages
* Link and Text Colors
* Visited Link Colors
* Global Mod Title
* Post review disabled
* Other sports link in sub-menu
* Adjusted slider script to speed up page loading
* External Links do not open in new window or tab
* Regular Users cannot read private messages
* Logging Out between sessions
* History not carried over to another computer

There is another list if bugs that need to be fixed. Admins are aware of the problems. Just give it some time.

Thanks for the list. It is good to see all of the things that have been fixed, though I didn't think that anyone can read private messages still. I think pretty much everything else you mentioned was fixed more or less in the immediate aftermath of the upgrade. My point was that it since then, it seems like there are still a lot of problems but it doesn't seem like they are being fixed.

I'm not really one to complain about stuff, so I'm not going to continue to post in this thread. I just felt like something needed to be said about what seemed like a lack of response to a lot of ongoing problems here.

I was kind of asking myself the same thing. I started a thread on this board about the Other Sports boards and no mod or admin person has said anything yet.

There are plenty of things still being worked out.

PMs, being one of them. We want the PMs back (and working) as much as you do.
