The $5M a year doesn't bother me. Lakers compromised and gave him the average he wanted and he compromised by not demanding as many years. I just don't like the 6 year and 5 year deals where if a player underperforms the team is stuck with the albatross of their contract for a long time.

I'm definitely sure 3 years at $5M per for Vujacic is a whole hell of a lot better deal than 5 years at full MLE for Beno Udrih.

Don't forget a $3.75M a year average for C.J. Miles.

Didn't Lakers fans want to give him away before this season? Now he is there for 3 years and $15M (wow!)

I personally love the entertainment he brings. He's like the spazmodic geek in class that you can always count on to do something stupid and hilarious. If he played for any other team, I'd be disappointed.

Ok, one of the worst then?...Maggette at $10mil is terrible, but Vujacic at $5mil isnt much better

$5 million per year is a very good deal for the Lakers and it's only for 3 years. He's the Lakers best player off the bench.

The lakers would have been better off keeping Turiaf and letting Vujacic walk....arent they over the luxury tax aswell? So its really $10mil a year

He's getting LESS than the MLE. -- And, he's coming off a very strong year.

This is the same team that just got to the finals. They just lost Turiaf. I dunno what the situation os with Mbenga and Karl, but they can easily be replaced with Dleague players.

No, with 1 roster spot to fill at most. The fact that the Lakers are in the luxury tax range isn't a determing factor for what's fair value for Sasha. Look at the players that have gotten in the $4M range this season. Vujacic is better than all of them. He's a better player than Udrih who got the full MLE.

Who cares if Buss pays the luxury tax? It's his money and with the cost of Lakers tickets he can afford it.
